They HAVE to reset the ladder!

When I say "have", literally I mean they need to based on current conditions.

Any regular Diablo2 player will agree that day by day, the economy gets worse and worse by leaps and bounds.

I recall 2 weeks ago an Arachnid's Mesh belt dropped while mfing one day.
I opened up a game called "T-O for Arach" and within 2 minutes I had 5 offers. I managed to sell it for 15 high runes. It was a 102% enhanced defense.

Today, the same belt is going for half that. I also tried buying a Hoz for my hammerdin who is now Lvl 88 using a nice spirit, and the only sellers I found either wanted 20+ high runes, 5 combat Gc's, (which I don't have), or a combination of charms/runes equaling 20 high runes.

What I'm getting at is more and more runes are being put into the game by these dupers and people are using them as in-game cash. 20 high runes 5 months ago was considered a lot. 20 now will get you elite item, if that.

As for a ladder reset, I would be happy as well as pissed. Almost every single item equipped on my characters came from my own MFing. The remaining that I cannot find come from desperate trades like stated above. I know the game needs a reset, but will it even change anything? If everything is deleted, what is to stop the dupers from starting back up again?
I guess I'm asking these rhetorical questions for myself, trying to figure out if I should either delete my character or sell it on ebay, which I could probably get some good money for. The game seems to have reached it's end due to duping.
