These Stickies are Made for Reading Thread - Summer 2007 i

Congrats on getting the hell out. So what degree did you end up with? Was it history?

Ya, I was fooling around with it, but it's just too frustrating (and really shadow is frustrating too) because neither of them have any pushback protection, or movement impairing effects besides Psychic Scream.

I think I might work on my 40 Shaman.

Playing as enhancement now, but I might switch to Elemental when I enter the Outlands...but then of course, they have the same problem as priests with pushback.

*lends one of Rykuss's hands to cover mine*

Hi there, Rykuss!. How's things?

Btw, there's a long lost Blue-ey checking us out. Wonder what he's up to.

Well I was having fun, unwinding with my Strider on Rappelz until some punk *** piece of **** PK'd me. Of course the game censored what I had to say to him so he whispered me to taunt and I opened up my extensive library of obscenities for him. I was even kind enough to think of him and tell him goodbye, in my own special way, before the servers shut down for maintenance.

I'm thinking about taking up a new hobby, beating the crap out of every teenager I see on the side of the road. It'll be good for them, builds character or something or was that digging ditches? I forget, oh well.

umm... what?

nothing against pushback? never heard of power word shield? if you're engaging at max range and mind flaying as they approach you they wont even do any damage to you let alone interrupt casting

PW:S seems too many heavy. I never crunched numbers, but I always felt like I got better non-downtime to downtime ration with out it.

And yes, MF does do a decent job. But I still had about 40% of the mob's health left after the MB, strafe SW:P, MF, MF opener.

I think it's all in my mindset/playstyle, since anytime I've been leveling it has been as a feral druid which are pretty damn solid as far as not needing to stop much.

then take my word for it, you're wrong

5 points in spirit tap and a decent amount of spirit?

I do something like...

Shield, Vamp Touch, SW:P, flay, flay, MB, wand and even that can be excessive damage (I usually do this when grinding for motes of mana since those guys steal mana anyways and I have no reason not to kill them quickly)

you finish the fight at maximum health and with double spirit, regenerating mana quickly, I tend to be at 100%/100% within a few seconds

Ok, I'll take your word for it.

Yes, and decent enough for crappy "hurry up and get me to Outlands" green items.

I think my downtime was reasonable, I just think I have some unreasonable expectations, upon further reflection.

Don't let it get to you. That's exactly what they want. But I understand the frustration.

Just finished watching episode 2010, and it was...interesting to say the least. "Hammond of Texas" was murdered years before, and SG-1 killed themselves to send a message to themselves back in time in order to prevent them from meeting a certain race of people. Needless to say their "former" selves were baffled by the message (of which I would have sworn Jackson had written in his handwriting, and suggested they all write a note on the paper to send - but turned out to have just Jack's handwriting when it arrived in the past) and will never know why it was sent, since Hammond ordered the address for that planet removed from the dialing system resulting in SG-1 never meeting these people and forever changing the fate of the human race.

Oh, and Doc Frasier looked horrid with the makeup she had on in the "future." Just...yuck.
