Thanks to the interest Horobi has decided to let people start playing. If I misread and he didn't, I live in Guam, where it is May 14, until the tourney starts in Colorado .
So, are AlterEgo and I allowed to count completing the "world" part of the quest (i.e. finding the Malus, killing Blood Raven) as a quest completion? I only ask because...Samus has begun her adventure.

While exploring the Ancient Monastery (more on that later) I have discovered two very powerful books. One, colored red on the cover, is capable of revealing an item's latent powers to me, enabling its use. The other, and the one I am writing this in, is a tome capable of opening rifts leading back to the camp where I found myself many nights ago.
Ahh, yes. The camp. When I found myself there I knew not what to make of it. Without my power suit I experienced things that I had not felt in a long time. During the flight from Zebes, it is clear that my ship and equipment where taken from me by the Space Pirates, controlled by Ridley. In the quite plausible event that I should die here, it is imperative that this world, and its inhabitants, are not forgotten. I know little of the demonic powers here...only what I have witnessed.
Upon arriving in the camp, I looked around. The villagers stared, believing that, maybe, I had come to help them. Looking toward a wall built in the shape of a corner, I saw a pile of what I believed were worthless artifacts. Now it appears that they were a huge portion of the camp's belongings. I searched the rubble, pulling out a stack of javelins, a rounded, dented metal disk, four small flasks containing red liquid, and two pieces of paper, each wrapped in a different color ribbon. As I took them, the villagers faces turned from weariness, desperation, and sadness, to hope and anticipation.
Immediately I was certain that the evil here would not subit to modern technology. The danger presented amazes me as I write this. Within moments the javelins were spent and I ran on a desperate search for more. Ultimately the chests yielded a bow and arrows, which I quickly discovered how to use. I am attempting to learn how I would be able to adjust these weapons to closer resemble the technology used to defeat the Metroids and Pirates. If I am successful then I believe my chances of escaping this world will increase dramatically.
Within a small cave I discovered hulking brutes and small imps which were constantly ressurrected by a larger imp. I also discovered a graveyard where a sickly bowyer raised fallen corpses in an attempt to slay me. The red potions restore my injuries, while the blue have no currently discernable use. They may hold the key, however, to the use of skills mimicking the Ice Beam and other weapons I used in the Power Suit.
Lastly, I am incapable of communicating with the camp's inhabitants. Even if I was, I am unsure of whether or not I would choose to. I fear they would spread the sorrow, fear, and insecurity they convey through their expressions to me.
Samus out.
If these get too laborious I will stop writing them but I thought that was pretty fun for now.
3 points, if quests "completed" but not "turned in" count. Otherwise there's just one point (unweighted of course).
