@Jpy 1 in 96 people will not have had a direct ber drop in 25k runs. So pretty unlucky. But the real question is...why the heck are you doing so many LK runs?

UT_Guy is a basic Hammerdin. I’ve been running LK for about 6 weeks now. At first I was running 100 runs or so and then doing some Meph runs to get some basic gear. I found Harlequin Crest and Arachnid Mesh after about 450 runs and after that I moved exclusively to LK. After a bit, I did progress as far as saving Anya in Act 5. The HF was very generous with an Io rune. For LK running, I’m wearing things to give me FRW so Stealth Armor (+25%), Nat’s Boots (+40%), Peasant Crown (+15%). For the first 2000 runs, I forgot that I had Charge so I was just running fast with Vigor and the above gear. Runs were averaging around 1 min. I would also kill boss packs along the way which slowed things down. Eventually I stopped picking up all gems and charms but only focused on Small Charms, Grand Charms, Jewels, Amethysts, Runes. My time probably dropped to around 40 s/run. I also emptied my inventory so I could do many runs without stopping to stash items.

@Jpy I am currently at 8,5k LK runs without a single Ohm or Lo. That's 7 patterns total. Thankfully i found many of those runes in other places (2 ohms from nihla, 2 from trav, 1 from diablo and 1 from pits; Lo from nihla, meph, pits and CS). My hr luck on barb was weird. Like i got a single jah rune from over 2k baalruns and then found like 4 hrs in 6k pitruns and like 6 in 4k p1 CS runs.

Patriarch Septimus and Azrael the A2 Holy Freeze Merc, Lvl 95 (pic)
Some off-and-on running early (since June), and focused running since my tourney Barb finished A2 Hell led to another level with Septimus. I had figured that Pit runs mean one less level of Baal, and maybe he could pick up the Vex or Ohm needed to finally make a CtA, plus potential of TC87 drops due to reasonably high MF. No CtA, but smooth progress to 95 without too much longer to 95 than Ventar runs would have been.
His helm was +4 Tornado but not much else, so I was hoping for Jalal's or Shako, and the latter appeared (after I had literally thought while teleporting to the PIt that Shako was due to drop). It eventually got the first socket quest, which I may regret, but if he sticks with Windy through 99, the Shako is a good choice for +mana and skills. And another 24 MF is worth it to me for slight odds of Tyraels. I got 3 yellow Sacred Armors and then a trolled set near the end, but also Windforce and Ghostflame along the way. He also picked up several 6MF and 7MF charms, and some resist+vita SCs that will eventually get swapped in, for 364 MF for the last stretch. And he also crafted this fun amulet, which won't get use because of clvl but it would be sick for k/t Assassin otherwise.
He's still managed to avoid a death, which I will try to maintain. He two close calls, with two rolls of amp/might/fanat/BA triple boss packs, with two archer boss packs along the way. I'm planning to run him for most of a set in the MF/RF tourney, with 4 hours to finish my HC Assassin's rune finding tour in AS. So I'm thinking the 16 hours will push him pretty far toward level 96, further reducing Baal runs and maybe (hopefully) delivering a Vex/Ohm to allow CtA. I will also hold out hope for Tyrael's

I don't even know the best way to try and find a good rack. I probably spent an hour rolling a map, then finding the armor racks and then trying to get something useful to drop. I did manage to roll a map that had an armor rack two teleports away from the WP that dropped a sacred rondache - close but not quite what I wanted. But, it's so close to the WP and very stable - probably 50-65% of the time it drops a shield. So I figured it was worth it to farm something.

I'm also considering using a Larzuk reward on this. It dropped from an LK rack while I was looking for a good map but I was never able to replicate the drop. Still, it's pretty solid and I'm not sure if it's worth much investment for that last 2%. I guess it depends on how quickly I can find a +45% rondache.

@Ohomemgrande best way IMHO is to not expect to get some extremely stable rack that’s dropping your desired base all the time but instead focus on finding one like yours that has the rack in an extremely ideal position that you can run quickly. Even it’s producing your base 1/10 runs, if you can do it fast and safe then you should produce the desired outcome relatively quickly. By the time you find an extremely stable rack you could’ve already produced the base. 43 resists SR is a very good base anyway, grats!
@Ohomemgrande I would take a 43 targe over a 45 rondache any day myself. Don't like putting in the small amount of extra strength haha. But ofc if you can find a targe rack and not have use a larzuk quest, that would be even nicer (I would probably larzuk that thing and move on if I were you, but I do hate racking haha). Anyways nice! Seems like great progress so far.
If you have a respec saved, I'd recommend sticking with the Sacred Rondache. The ST is reasonably likely to drop before lvl 97 (assuming you have cube recipes stashed), and with the use of Dusk Shroud for Enigma, the points saved in strength are less. So it's really the +block for ST, which can be rebalanced to vita before transitioning to de Seis runs at lvl 97, with the option of Larzuking the Superior if another 40@+ (4os or cubed) hasn't dropped by then.
But I'd definitely skip racking, as that time will be better spent for XP runs. There are really only two socket items for Hammerdin (Shako, Andy's for merc), so the time on racking doesn't seem worth it from my perspective.

Anyone see the "new" exploit/bug for skipping the waves at Baal? Looks like this was "discovered" a couple of years ago but no one figured out how to do it repeatably until the last day or so. I wonder if the time savings is enough to affect an untwinked 99er project.
From what I've seen it's not a very reliable way to skip the waves as it's not clear what's really happening, which leads to a lot of waves actually spawning. That being said, I don't see how this bug would save time during the 99 grind as you actually want to kill the waves... maybe for lvl 98-99 since you only want to kill Baal, but it looks, from the video footage, that it takes some time to get the skips, so maybe just killing everything in p1 is still faster.
