The return of the bots...

What about any good elemental attack (CS, FB, Light) and Lower resist wand s and conviction merc? Could 1-hit Ko many-many people.

Yes, your right. The sorc I was bot slaying with was a lite sorc with an infinity merc.

I'm not 100% certain, but I suspect they can. The bot works by placing specific 'boxes' of color near to names to be able to read them - I don't think the game really makes a difference between hostile monsters and hostile players, with the exception that there's a human in charge of the player. I'd expect the bot to attack you.

Generally bots don't attack me while I hunt them, however if such a thing should arise and become prevalent, I could run to act three and revive some teddy bears, since about 9/10 bots are hammerdins.

But hey, it's no worse than PvP, but with a mindless drone behind the bot. :D

Ah, I'm used to mindless drones attacking me in pvp :)

lol true, on that last.

I'm thinking about using the pvp sorc that I've been working on to do this - 95% absorb esheild, full TK, and a 1k/shard frozen orb, with -250% cold res. Think that'll do the job?

Depends on the speed of their chicken, I don't know if that program is fast enough to be capable of leaving the games between shards. If not, it sounds like a surefire winner.

Most of them can leave the game very fast (almost instant). Maybe depends on types of bots to, but I've found some of them can be hard to beat (they quit games fast, usually when hit by first lightning from trap) or even track, since they make random game names or so it seem.

Havent encountred a bot that would fight back tho, althoogh they almost constantlly throw hammers so they're always protected by hammer field wich means you need to kill them with somthing from afar, like trap or spell or such.

Hmmm. Bliz sorc with Nightwings/DF and 4-facet shield/armor. Cant think of a bot that can escape death from this. ^^

Hey all, thanks for the fun stories of bot kills and all. I too am interested in taking some of this on, though I need to know how to identify bots and some strat. It has been asked several times in this thread yet no replys.

Help us interested out please.

Best way is to find a game called 'botbaal' or some such thing like that, and just sit in wait for the first person to use the waypoint.

If they complain when they die, they were human, wait. The bot will come. If they immediately exit, odds are, they were a bot.

Excellent news for me, I just finished collecting the gear for my orb/es sorc! Now I just need to get a couple more cold skillers, and maybe a pair of cold facets, and that should do it. :D

Next few days = serious singleminded leveling

Hm.

I bet they aren't even bots; just some kids who want to feel cool by making you think they have a special hack.

If that's the case, they deserve to die anyway.
