The quest for the stones of Jordan (a.k.a 2.5k NM Andy runs)

Well... time for a change.

I was getting tired of the zon doing the LK runs and nothing more... she couldn't even do more then just run and pop chests.
Unlike the paladin that can actually walk solo through LK killing everything and popping every chest.

So the zon got another assignment: Finding 2 stones of Jordan. Of course we'll be doing that at NM Andy's place.

Goal is to do 20 runs a day and make a post every 100 runs to show what I got.

But first things first... I need to find a decent map. So until that moment the updates might take a bit longer.

Summary:

37 runs in and I have my first mentionable find: a Goldwrap.

Didn’t have one. Inmediately upped it and put in on Otrera to get her MF to a nice 406%… and some more room for extra (especially shield)

75 runs done, so that’s 3% finished. On average I get 3 uniques/set items per run.

That would equal 7500 items when completed…

I might have underestimated this. Going to need to manage this while I’m running. Like every 100 runs do a file dump and then toss out the trash items or anything I have more then 5/10? Items of already.

How do you guys do that on those long projects

finally... 200 runs done. That's 8%... that's even more work then I thought.

Still... no SoJ. I did start a nice juwelry stand in Luth Golein. I mean it would be a shame not to do something with all those Cathan's I did find.

In those 200 runs I did find 593 set/unique items. So that's approx 3 items per run. I won't post the entire stash summary, but some highlights were:

- 104 Arcana's sign (set completed) and Ko-rune
- 121 Magnus skin (set completed)
- 170 and 172 Goldwraps. no need to share anymore
- 176 razortail (finally... when I start adventuring again that one goes on the zon)

Good luck with this, I've had a Sorc with a mean fireball parked in NM for months but I can't manage more than a dozen runs before the general quality of drops besides the Jordan's to be too bitter to take. My last and only two self found rings were back in 1.12-13 days, one which was just questing through nightmare on a similar Sorc.

NM Andy has a better chance to drop an SoJ, but Hell Andy isn't far behind and I figured the higher quality ancillary drops would make it worth it. I was several hundred runs in without an SoJ when I decided to run Meph for a while to break the monotony. A few runs in I clicked a random chest in the Durance, and sure enough it was my first SoJ.

I mostly choose NM Andy because of the speed. I could run Hell Andy but it would cost me a lot more time and resources and probably be harder to keep up.

For monotony I have a pally running NM Meph and Baal, a adventuring Sorc and a starting barb. This way I’m pretty sure I can keep doing this until I have my two stones

Been a while, kinda parked this quests for a while to get the Zon through hell.

Now that that's done I decided to continue this quest with my fanazealer. I upped his MF to 584 and off he went.

Took some time to find a good map but we got one. No the biggest trick is to keep it and not start the next game on Hell (since I now take turns with my 4 characters there is a four day interval. Just long enough to forget what I was doing again.

So far I did 280 runs and found some 780 unique and set items. Still no SoJ or nice amulets. I wanted to make a spreadsheet with the ATMA dump but that proved a bit more difficult than I hoped.

300 runs down, 836 items stashed away. I am not going to like sorting that out when I have done all my runs, but we'll see when we get there.

The Palladin is doing great, the runs are easy and faster now I spent some time looking for a better map. Third level is a single straight line through some rooms in which I find more chests then creatures. Level two takes me a bit longer but spawns a garantued Champion pack along the way which is nice for filling the pockets with gold for gambling.

First run dropped an unique ring. So that was the moment of the game this time. Nagelring, of course, but with better MF then I had so it was usefull anyway. I run with 588 MF at the moment. Still could use 2 Ists to put in the blade of Ali Baba... But my only Ist went into a Chains last week so that might take some LK runs
