The quest for level 99- progress thread

Thanks for the tips, NinjaSoD! Man, you must be a far better player than I. You see, I've taken 3 characters to 99, and funnily enough it took me not 1-2 weeks but rather a few months each time! And that was with over 10 hours of playing time each day!

Yeah, DC. But everyone knows you're hax.

I don't know how you did it man... I thought I had some of the best Baal runners possible, able to clear p8 Baal in 3 minutes and all... I bow down to you.

And you quite obviously should bow down.

You were able to cram 500 hours of gametime into the time frame of 2 weeks. I salute you, sir. You have done what many of us would have thought impossible.

It's a little thing we masters of the game like to call skill you n00b.

How did you manage to play 35 hours a day!? :dizzy:

If you rotate your house against the Earth fast enough, time slows down. He just has enough spin to fit in 11 extra hours. Stop complaining because your time travel abilities are complete failures.

You sure that, that char isn't on BNet? Maybe with Anny, Ondal's, Ubers or what do I know, it would be possible to get char to 99 playing 24 hours a day. But then again you would probably be asleep now....

It was fun! Now to get back on topic I did 5 Baal runs and made 1 million experience, this must be biggest update in history :grin:.

Let's see, what's wrong with that screenshot...

1) Hellfire Torch doesn't exist in Single Player.
2) You're not wearing a shield. Seems a bit hard to get to 99 without using a shield.
3) Why would you wear Dracul's Grasp and whatever that Light/Sharkskin/Vampirefang Belt is, on a caster necro? As you said yourself, you need as many +skills as you can get - wouldn't it make sense to use Arachnid Mesh, which offers +1 to all skills and 20% FCR?
4) Your Shako is ethereal. Chances are, you're not going to be able to do thousands of Baal runs without it breaking, unless it is Zodded or you have many, many ethereal Shakos. I know I wouldn't have enough eth Shakos to take me to 99.
5) Enigma is pretty hard to get in Single Player, we don't believe you seeing as you just came here and claimed to have all this gear. What are you going to tell us next, that you saved up all your runes, even El's, and eventually cubed up to a Jah and a Ber?
6) Empty inventory? Apart from that hacked Torch and 2 MFSC's, I mean. You need all the killing power you can get in order to get 99. Where are your 8x Skillers?
7) Your resistances are at 4. Trust me when I say, you did not brave the Gloams of the WSK with 4 resistances without dying - dying so much, in fact, that there's no way you could advance past 97-98 because the exp lost > exp gained. Although, nice job on having that poison resistance quite high, those Treks really come in handy! :badteeth:
8) Your Bone Spear does 1.1k damage. You claimed to play on P6? 1.1k damage wouldn't even be noticeable, let alone allow you to deal with the Physical Immunes and such, at P6. By the way, P8 is considerably more efficient and pretty much the only option when going for 99.
9) You have most of your points in energy, with little vitality. 1660 mana and 815 life. You're not getting 99 with 815 life. See point #7 above.

Damn, I couldn't even round off a nice 10.

In short, NinjaSoD, you have gone and made a fool out of yourself. I realize this post is also spam, but I suggest that you stop posting now, although if you kept arguing it would amuse me (and others as well, I'm sure) greatly. Nobody believes you.

I couldn't help but notice, where is your anni, %experience increase is a must for getting a 99. No SPFer goes without one.

This whole topic is just too funny not to respond.

Edit: By the way, if you ever do decide to make a necro that makes use of bone armor, better to put one point in bone armor and two points into bone wall. It gets more from synergies than from increasing itself.

(1) People don't start flaming.
