@Grogs - congrats on making the tough call. RL is much more important than D2. I've had to do the same thing when the going got rough and all I wanted to do escape from it all into a game.

95 is so close, just another 23 p8 baal runs. Also found vidala's armor while baaling last night, it finished off my classic sets.

EDIT: Just to answer my own earlier question. If you kill revivables in the throne room (OKs, OMs, Stygan dolls, Gloams) at p1 and then bump your settings to p8 and they are revived by the second wave (Unravellers?) they will still be p1.

I got to 95 yesterday, and haven't played much since, had a busy day and wanted to rest a bit Anyways, I'm sort of relieved, since CS runs still award decent exp at 95, around 600-700k average at p5 doing the upper part of the RoF too, I was afraid it wouldn't even reach 500k...

I made it to the top 10 at last, now that I notice it, that's nice

Level 93, aka 'when Pindle stops giving experience at a discernible rate'.

Thanks KS Runs take about 13-15 minutes on average, which is probably quite slow even for doing RoF and the CS with 400ish MF, but I'm not complaining! If I wanted to level up as fast as possible, I'd remove all the MF gear and go do Baal runs, anyways

Withdrew from the list. There is just no bloody way for a non-teleporting physical damage melee paladin to reach that high.

I'm going to have to withdraw for now as well. My fury druid was able to do the runs effectively (i.e. no deaths) but it was taking to long and was not much fun at all. Anyways I will be back once my LF zon gets that high so until then, best of luck to all of you .

I have decided to join this thread because I plan to do Baal runs regularly. So here I come with Viraya, lvl 93 CS/LF zon. The other reason for joining this madness is that I am better than Farting Bob

I salute you, NSX. I find it a crime that the two prime leveling areas are stacked so against melee characters.

With some gold find gear, you could use a teleammy with a really good map...

I'm going to give shermo a few days grace and give my poor abused wrist tendons a break ..err brake.

Dosen't help much, as I still have to deal with OK packs in throne room, and a boom from LE lister I'm gone even with CtA. Each death would put me back several hours of play, and with all those things floating around, it's just impossible to not die once in a while.

Oh well, perhaps melee's day will come again in patch 1.11. :uhhuh:

I haven't been updating here, because the char has not been played for a while. I'll remove the "old" char for now and join with the new one (once he reached more higher levels)

This is also a skelly/bone hybrid necromancer, only change is that it's a new and untwinked char. So it will take a bit of time before he is ready.

Just got past DX, by 1 million exp only though. All I want is to catch usama and be the highest lvl necro on this list. I don't believe I will ever reach 99, I don't have patience to run Baal so much with one character. And his crap drops won't help my motivation at all

Not much of a gain, just continueing the game of leapfrog with Ragnarod. After finding as Ist last night (and reaching 86) while countess running I figured it was time to get back to baaling.

Since there were two people only just above me, I decided they'd be far better just below me.

Died... 3 times, I think, and lost all my lvl 93 experience, then went on a crusade for vengeance against Pindle (who managed to cause all three of those deaths) and Baal (who drops rubbish and thus must be slain to punish him for this).

Found a third Messerschmidt's Reaver in the process.

Can someone please add me to the list. I've tried twice but the preview post looks screwed up.

Hi Seige,

What is your HC necro? a fishymancer will have a lot of trouble to reach lvl99.

If I put my HC fishy here (still my higest lvl char), he will have to wait another 20 years before lvl99.

Last time I tried to mess with the code thing I ****ed it up, so could someone remove my Druid and instead add Blackened - Hammerdin. He's level 93 with 2.25 billion exp (or something similar). Even though I don't have net access at the moment I'll try to keep my progress up to date.

Sorry mate, I had a day off and just did a couple runs. The zod tourney is distracting me though, HC is a slow slow game so I don't think I'll progress much for the week.

The ol' tendons seem to be coming back on-line nicely. Looks like it was just (heh, just) the flu..

Ran Baal alot yesterday evening and night but the exp didn't move much and all his drop was crap, one drop I had 3 Unique and 1 set all were normal.

But exp is always good

Made it about 1/4th of the way across the gap. Although, unlike DX I had a decent drop night. IKSC, from the second wave, Tals Ammy, WarShrike, and several other EUs, no grailies though.

Good question. I should think its affected by diminishing returns too but it could be another of those bugs.

Because of the way multiplication works (2*3*4 == 2*4*3; commutative property) it's probably the case that it's affected by the experience diminishing post-70. If you check the amount of experience you gain from a single kill, it'll be 5% higher with an Ondal's. (It should be, anyway - I haven't investigated it in-depth).

Basically, think of it as "Kill 20, get one free".

Have changed some in my gear to increase the damage and it have worked out really well. Switched my Tals armor to +3blizz Ormus 10% Cold damage robes Cold facet, Harly to Nightwings 10% Cold damage with Cold facet, Arachnid to Snow clash. Blizzdamage went from 4800-5200 to 7650-8023 more than 2000 in average damageincrease plus monsters res has wen't down some.

He is a untwinked character (no white wand, no marrowwalk), so going with the best he [a href="[URL]http://www.freewebs.com/randall_q73/Report.html[/URL]" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow noopener"]found sofar[/a].

Right now he is lvl 71 and close to Andariel in Hell (inner cloister).

Another 30 mil for my zon. Actuall it was more like 55 mil but I died once, I was mobbed and checked the stats on the monster I was attacking but a bolt must have killed another FE boss right by me. I decided to add some recovery gear to me stash, its fairly minimal but I shouldn't ever have an unrecoverable death again.

Also got my sorc to lvl 87 plus a little. Exp is getting tight from just the countess.

I know exactly what you mean. Got myself to 2.012 and 2 quick deaths with no body recovery got me back to 1.986 . Thats a good 3hs work *rant*

I think for the sake of convenience, you should wait til you're at least somewhere near the bottom of the table first (lvl 60+). There's not much pt if you keep updating the table every 15mins while leveling

Sorry to be a little harsh, but don't you alreay have a lvl99 sorc who is doing MF runs? I'd suggest you could explain yourself in the other thread first, before join this race. after all if you already have a legit lvl99, you will surely be placed on top, if not, there is no point to make a hacked lvl99.

Almost half way there (lvl 96), and the second half always seems to go faster.

I explained in my other post that my clvl 99 sorc was a 1.09 character being played in 1.10... I don't have a true 1.10 clvl 99 character yet... but good suggestion, i'll wait til im up to the 50's or 60's.

I'll add myself to this list as my IK Barb, with his o-so-orignial name, hit 90 last night on Pindle runs. Will continue along that line and see what I can do.

wsk runs are goin' smoothly, the last 75 million without a single death, i'm definitely at the lvl93 galore

Only 40 mil for me, but just enough to get me one place higher. Only 42 others to catch now

No jump in position, but I'm able to do /players5 Pindle runs easily now with newly found Shaftstop equipped on merc, so the trek to 92 is getting easier (was doing /players1 for ease).

I think all of us run Baal. He and his minions are the best source of EXP after 90. He himself is the only one giving you noticable EXP after 95.
Only one high-level Paladin used to run Chaos Sanctuary (was that Ragnarod?) It was quite strange to see a screenshot with lvl 95 CHAMPION.

I run Baal for items, not for EXP only, so I do him and his minions on P3. If I get my IK Soul Cage and Death's Web, I will change my gear from MF setup to killing setup and raise Player settings.
I think most of serious levelers do him on P8, minions on P8 until lvl 95.

My computer died and had to reinstall, lost my necro so I took him off the list, runnin up a freezealot now to try and play around on the list.

Been awhile since I last updated, but up to 84, making my way through Act II fairly easily (yeah, I know its kinda high to be here, but I've had problems with him and his stats in the past).

I didn't gain too much exp, but still got enough to a few positions higher.

Congratulations on the lvl 97, KS! That alone is an impressive achievement already, way to go Good job on the lvl 94 too, Hrus, specially on players 3! My paladin is still a champion, by the way, even if he's not seen much action lately

I level by doing Diablo runs (including the upper part of the RoF) at players 5, I have a very strong dislike for Baal runs since I was forced to do thousands of them when I was part of the team that won the second ladder season in the europe realm at b.net... Besides, I just find killing him annoying with a hammerdin, with all the teleporting and mana burning, and this way I can save my ancients quest until 98, when those 40 millions will be much welcome

Leveling seems to be much slower that way than by doing Baalruns though, but if you're going to do endless repetitions of some run to level up, you'd better pick a kind of run you like I think! If you like baalruns, just stick to them, and you'll be fine

Sunbearie is two levels below you, though.

I run WSK and Pindle for experience. At level 93, WSK 2 & 3 give a fair chunk (depends on monsters, but something like 2-4 million), Pindle only gives 200-250k or so. The best experience gains I've seen would probably be Ventar's pack (goes down in seconds for about 125k per minion!) and Lister's pack, but they're dangerous.

Baal gives something like 300k or so at 93. Can't be certain on the numbers because I only check every so often...

Actually I can run them at P8 Just stand right next to Baal and only one can get to you at a time. My ice mage holds them still while I kill them.

heh, and the battle went on...

OK, back to Baal running. I officially suck at HC, second serious attempt at getting a Guardian was another miserable failure. My untwiked meteorbster just found a nice and shiny 35 % Vipermagic, but that confidence boost almost immediately lead to her death. A multishot, something archer pack killed her off pretty fast in the Hell Pit at an age of 77.

Now lets see if I can get lady Fortuna to lvl 98. My playing time is not as generous as it used to be, but only about 35 hours to go :teeth:

best ive ever done was a lvl 89 bowazon online(i only play online, just checking for useful stuff here on the SP forum ) and then i quit for 6 month and now im starting all over ill never make it to 90 (still my goal though )

i must give you credit for exposing out what is my real goal here, this is to be the highest ranked zon on the map, you know, we're still 300+ million apart jj, but hey..., wait a min that's a freakin' 300 mills, i don't know really...


anyway my build is an 8/2 windy carrier, uses strafe and a 12 arrow multishot alternatively, really depends on my mood more than anything, but keeps a variety component at the same build i guess, you know, it might extend her usage afterall, as for stats i dumped 450+ in dexterity, which left me at 600+ life, i'm not regreting anything but this feature cost me quite a few more deaths than it should be so far, but i still think it was a good choice. i have a might merc obviously with an eth reapers obviously and that's it. i'm doin' mostly wsk runs at p1 and minions at p8, still no baal farming atm.

Very impressive for a Bowazon. I shudder to think of Baal running with mine but she was my frist char and as such is a terrible build, a WF would help to.

I've paid close attantion to the Zons too, but I got lucky and started out in front in this thread and haven't had too tough a time staying there ... so far. Then again, I pay attention to all classes and am currently concerened with the 87 mil (off the top of my head, I may be off) that I need to catch usamahanas's necro.

I've got a fairly standard (I don't like following guides and just try to do what makes sense) LF/CS zon, she's fun but she's high maintenance, she needs mana pots constantly.

Brand_Dale has gone on a holy quest to redeem himself from (at least some of) his hamerdin cheesyness. He has taken up the life of a zealot and will be running the pit until he finds at least one grail item.

He actually does quite well. With his redeemer he does about 3500 average zeal damage x 50ish percent deadly strike. Player4 runs take about 6 minutes. It's fun, but there's not a whole lot of xp in the pit anymore!

Nicely done. I think the main problem is that my zon is melee (CS/LS) and I can't bloody do the minions at P8 without risking death. The pit is a lot safer but less exp over time I guess. I've tried diablo runs, its safer if only because of the wider room-space but still dangerous.

Another few million. The WF is not with me at the moment the last 50 runs didn't net me a single item that I wanted to keep, except for some gems.

Edit: I've given my merc a delerium helmet, and it works wonders. Once the confuse goes off all I have to do to trigger the next wave is get the boss. It certainly makes things a bit hectic. I've had most of wave 4 left over by the time wave 5 came out

NOOOOO! I was just a few runs before hitting 95. Lister spawns Fire encanted, I sliver him and throw javelins to him from distance, then javelins came up empty. I made a TP half screen from Lister, repaired javelins, bought some mana potions for Baal fight. Then went through portal. Lister was just there and my merc hit him. DEAD! I don't like it. Fortunatly I cleared the way, because there weren't any LI monsters in WSK so I was able to get half the loss back.

Looks like the squid ate my ranking....

I re-added icequeen, the blizz sorc. I have a wonderful mephisto map she can do in 25 seconds in p3 so she's now a mephisto runner :lol:

I'm a little bit burned out. Might have a week off. I did find a +2 pally skill/dex/lr/teleport circlet which I've been trying out. It speeds things up, but then i have to take the time to get the gold to repair it.

Squid has eaten my last update (I was 95 already), I did some runs to get to 2.500 mark.

Ehh. no need to worry, I just experienced 3 deaths in a row (actually first death nullified my EXP bar). I am a little bit bored of Baal too. I think I will not run him regularly, and if so, I will do that for MF purposes on lesser Player settings.

Actually it was a different group that was Mp'ing to 99, though several of them have listed themselve's here.

I don't have anything to update, since I haven't really touched d2 for a month or so, the urge to play doesn't seem to be there any longer... I guess this is for the best, but I haven't discarded making yet another comeback in the future, wouldn't be the first time Anyways, I'll still be checking this thread from time to time, and cheering for you guys, so keep up the good job! :worship:

I did a few runs and some calculations. The experience I get from one run is 73.200 and it is 290 million experience till level 99, which comes to a total of 3975 Baal runs.

From clearing the Throne room at p1 I get about 200-2000 exp, depending on the monsters there, the first two minion waves are done at p1 and the last three at p8, which gives 23.930 experience in total and p8 Baal gives 48.654 experience.

A little more runs are needed than I originally thought, but it doesn't really matter if its a lot or a bit more than a lot. Its more important not to die, every death in which you recover your body cost 2.5% more runs, which is 100 runs, but if you are unable to get your body back its 400 runs extra.

Till level 98 Baal dropped me 5 TC 87, Death Cleaver, Windforce, Deaths Web, Darkforce Spawn and IKSC. The minions gave a similar amount of items. Best runes from all those runs was a Pul.

If I recall correctly, Strijdje hit 98 with Lycan sometime in January. If he's still playing D2 at his rate of 5hrs/weekday and 10hrs/weekend day, he should be getting pretty close.

Stribbles hardly ever play any more, he's all about the WoW.....silly dutch ****.

I'm afraid with the new young'n and work heatin up, I haven't had as much time as I used to for D2 (these are GOOD problems to have ). What time I do have has to be dedicated to something more immediately satisfying that another 2.5 million xp per hour burned.

Brand has given back some of the nice gear that Uber's pally gave him. I've actually had fun doing baal runs with Brand as a zealot. It would be interesting if I can actually make (positive) progress that way!

I park LI Lister, it's not worth the time to kill him, especially not at P8. (I don't have an appropriate killing method for unbreakable LIs anyway - wand of LR on switch and merc using Kelpie)

I've tried these on and off, and the Oblivion Knights are the biggest problem (CI, cast IM on merc). Other than them, however, it's a breeze... so I may well switch targets - thanks for reminding me!

The other reason for running Pindle, of course, was items. Naturally he hasn't coughed up a great deal, though, and certainly not the Ondal's Wisdom I've been after... maybe the big spiky thing will be more generous.

Finally, a bit of progress. Had two nasty deaths after my last update, luckily I had was able to recover my body both times, thanks to carrying recovery gear in my stash.

It went a bit better today, I played a HC char before doing baal runs and as a result was in a bit careful frame of mind.

Haven't posted in quite awhile here. I've been working on my WW barb. Struggling through A2 Hell. The tombs are next on my hit list!

A brief update for my fiance, dkthomas29. She lost her hard drive, and all her D2 stuff. Sadly Mimi will for ever be lost in cyber space.

I ocasionally check in here although I don't participate just to check on your status and I'm always curious about what builds people have the stamina to take into the 90s as well as what builds are most capable of demolishing the WSK and Baal with ease. I'd appreciate it.

@krzyhobo: My assassin is a trapper with slight variation on standard build. Max DS, LS, CBS, 17 SM (durable tank), 12 FB (for LIs), 6 Shockweb and pre-reqs. Also, I cycle between /players8 Eldritch and Pindle runs...she's not the safest WSK/Baal runner.

Wow, I haven't been this high since the 6th post.

@hobo: My build is a CS/ LF Zon with whatever gear I feel like keeps me the safest while still killing quickly (still haven't really read a guide). The better question though should be which build can kill quickly at high players settings. The stamina is entirely up to the player.

Meteorb just turned 89 on the last maggot in Coldworm's chamber, she did however die in the first run I did this evening. While teleporting to the entrance to the Maggot Lair (a quite short distance from the waypoint) she landed right in the middle of four boss packs (two beetles, two scavenger), one of which had mana burn, and was killed almost instantly, no time to hit the purples or escape. By recovering her corpse she did lose only about 3 million experience, and found Steel Shade of one of the aforementioned bosses, the rest of the run went without problems, as did the next one were instead of teleporting she cleared her way towards the entrance.

IM is not the big concern, FE is though, I have a good baal map and there is never a single monster in my way on WSK 3, and if there is any in the throneroom I just restart. Gear is good enough to do minions at 6 and baal at 8 with 250mf. Runs take a little long though; 7-10 minutes. I have the runes for exile once I find a shield to put it in I think i can do minions at 8 also. Luck is how i got that map, but it is one where there stairs down is just a right corner away from the entrance.(both maps are like this, but level 2 spawns lots of enemies), and there are never any enemies in the way, the enemy pack spawns off to the side, and I can just charge on by easily. Plus it seems that my throne room very rarily spawns OK's last night i did about 10 runs and only had to abort once to OK's. Even when I abort it doesn't take to long to get back down there because I can just charge all the way down.

The sorc exp has only come mostly from p1 MF runs, if that's an indicator how many of those I've done. The paladin should be a bit more brisk now for a bit as he can solo p8 act 5 hell finally.

Added some more exp, I actually jumped Roidrage but was to lazy to change around the standings, will do next time I update, maybe this weekend I will get close to another level.

I hit nice 2.6 number. I still do only occasional MF runs on P3. One run gives 0.5 million.

A small update from me, I've started playing my pala again since I'm on holidays It's slow going at those levels, so it should still take me a few weeks to get to 96, but I hope I'll get there in time, and then we'll see if it's too slow for me

Quite well, I don't know the exact damage, because of the way cold mastery works, but at least in act II, she can quickly dispatch of fire immunes at players 8, such as some bosses in the Maggot Lair, and some monsters (invaders?) in the Ancient Tunnels. The odd thing is, both she and her merc do seem to have the most trouble with flying scimitars. Regardless of the fact that I think those are the best (most fun) traps in the game, her mercenary has died to them when not having any trouble with any other monster in the Maggot Lair, and it does cost a lot of frozen orbs to get them down. As to Baal's minions, I haven't done any run at higher players settings in ages, and don't remember, I do remember however that at some point I did do minion/baal runs (teleporting through the rest of WSK and TOD), and did do that at higher player settings. But I will get back to that (although I'll probably do full clears instead) , so then we can see.

I'm using a Rhyme shield for getting both decent blocking some resists and cannot be frozen. I know that the latter isn't that necessary for a sorc as for other characters, but I'm sort of allergic to characters not having that mod. If I would find another Raven Frost, the problem would be solved of course. Other things I'm looking for to solve the resists problem are rare boots with resists, and rare rings with resists. One of her rings will remain Dwarf Star, but the other is kind of open. Since I recently found Nature's Peace, I tried that on her, and it did not seem a bad choice in the Worldstone Keep, especially to prevent the appearance of gloams behind you in the second wave of Baal's Minions.

With decent fire resist and that ring, no fire damage in D2 can touch you. (Well, except something combined with conviction or LR)

Despite dying three times these last two days, I've somehow managed to gain enough experience to get back into the top ten, at least until Hrus or Shermo feel like updating again

A few more updates that I planned, but I had a good day, then caught Masas, but here the the number I was really aiming for. I'll try to keep quite until 97 now.

I haven't done ancients yet, I'm saving them for lvl 98 (in a few years, I hope ), I dislike Baal runs anyways so it's not much of an issue, just slower leveling.

I get around 3 millions per hour, more or less, at players 5, I'm not comfortable doing them at players 8 wearing almost full MF gear, with just 7.5k hammer damage. I don't see that changing unless I find another Sur, and make myself an Enigma, not really likely

jjscuds update just forced me to upgrade. Nice gain there jjscud!

Upgraded the sorc too, but relatively pointless, I doubt she'll level much further. It's only by the grace of (insert deity here) that she doesn't ever die. But all she really does is p1 pit, countess, meph, pindle, occasionally Baal if I'm feeling lucky.

As a side note, should we clean up the list and removed banned forumites? 50 active characters would be a much nicer looking chart.

Just an intro. Maveen is a LF/PJ Javazon untwinked but muled. She supplies the heavy artilery while her merc and valk do the hand to hand stuff. I prefer to fight down hill, so she is just starting A5H. I plan to finish A5 on p4, where Maveen has been the entire run. Then p8 Baal runs for goodies and experience. I am hoping to find/gamble a +2 Amazon Skills Amlet before I take on the Ancients. Being a packrat, I advance slowly and play mostly on weekends.

I did about 200 runs at 98, so I need another 3800. At the moment I don't have a lot of time, because I just moved into a new house and started a new job, also the reason I'm not in the MFO. In a couple of weeks we'll see how much diablo time I can squeeze in my daily schedule.

Also note that now I use RWM, RRM and FE mods, as they made the game worth playing for me again. jumped a few places during the MFO. At the moment baal runs just aren't any fun for me. I'll continue levelling in the pits, they give me ~2/5ths of the exp per time that minion runs do, but I can do them for hours on end. With baal runs I get tired after half an hour or less. And there's always the nice drops

I've really been wanting that #2 spot for a while. I don't really plan to hold it as I'm planning another project for a month.

It was a bit of a pain, the game didn't want to let me make it, I had two deaths, both within 4 million of this goal. The good news is I now know I can still recover from a death in a single day.

Did a few Baal runs over the weekend

I've missed participating in this thread, so if you people don't mind, I'd like to put my character back in the list I've included the game mods I'm using so it's clear for everyone to see, it wouldn't fit nicely next to my char name as Lpr made it so it's next to the user name instead

As you can see, I've made some nice progress, getting to 96 since I last updated. I've switched to doing pit runs since the drops in the CS had been pitiful lately, and it's been sort of rewarding so far, nothing spectacular in terms of drops but at least my deaths have diminished to nearly zero, and it shows in the exp bar

Small update, since my old zon is no longer around, I've dropped my new one onto the table in her place.

Removed my entry - semi retirement.

Maveen is making progress.

Did a few more Baal runs over the weekend. Almost 1/10th of the way.

Another small update by me, I've played less these last few days because of 1.11 coming and all that, but I'll probably try to get my pala to 97 before upgrading if it were to be released tomorrow, we'll see

I decided to add my Blizzard Sorceress, she's only being used for MF and just hit Level 93 at Pindleskin.

Maveen, a LF/PJ Javazon. defeated the Hell Ancients on the first attempt. The Valk and Decoy kept Korlic (Axe) occupied until the poison and lightning did the job. By then, Talic (Sword) had killd my Merc, but Maveen was able to sustain his WW attacks by swilling potions and took him down. Madawc was no big problem for Maveen and the Valk. Then she then proceeded to take Baal down with only one death. It looks like focusing on Baal is a good idea. I did wait until just after level 89 to attempt the Ancients in order to minimize any possible experience loss. It surprised me that Maveen had the most difficulty with the Ancients on normal.

Just a little milestone. Not much else to report. The going is slow but not really all that bad. I do get a little chuckle when I see someone (no one here) complain about the difficulty of leveling when they're in the upper eighties.

It took me 2 1/2 days of solid playing to go from 95 - 96... My annual leave will run out before I get to 97, and it'll be very slow progress after that.

I was hoping to make more progress before posting (as always) but I'm focusing mostly on Hrus's Grail tourney right now so my zon will be sitting idle for the most part.

Stopped Pindling, and started Baaling again. Also leveled, and did more experience runs after levelling just to get one place higher.

Moving closer to overtaking DX.....

I wasn't planning on updating until I got to 97, but Grogs is leveling so fast I had to update if I wanted to keep my position for a while more I might retire the character once I reach 97, and perhaps rebuild it, if I decide to do so I could do the Hell ancients quest and level up in three or four days, I'm not sure yet. What would you do, if you were me? :scratch:

Tons of wasted stat points, both in str and dex, since I didn't have an enigma or most of his current equipment when I started playing him. About 1500 life (2500 with bo) isn't that good either, since most of the time I'm playing without a merc down there in the chaos sanctuary, I have the feeling rebuilding would make my life easier

Aye. 99.9% of people who use CTA have it on switch (the .01% is there for everyone I haven't seen us it as a main weapon).

I just made 90. All my work has been /players 4. I just upped it to /players 5. I plan to up the /players every other level to speed things up.

I just my CtA and lvled my pally. Now i can run baal without a high chance of dieing. Not going to add my other lvl 93 char as she can't run baal (Vita Blizzy )

Because I don't believe the RRM changes anything important about the game, and the Ladder forbids it.
I do have three characters who are eledgible for the ladder (untwinked, vanillia) though. I may want to twink them in future though.

The point is that I converted barb(all chars) to 1.11 when he was over 80.
It's seems that I cant enter 1.11 ladder becouse I break 2 rule, and I cant enter 1.10 ladder becouse I'm playing 1.11 No place for me I guess.

This thread doesn't matter if you are 1.10 or 1.11, I'm even using some 1.09 items. Just put your character in the list if you think some competition will help you leveling.

Well the weekend didn't see as much D2 as I would have liked, I've had a couple of nice hangovers though!

Made quite some progress.

I am curious (because trying to read a 19 page(with my display settings) is tedious) is there any rules to this, I do RRM and am still deciding if I want to make use of RWM (have it DL'd not installed) and with all the time I have going to and from school (hour and a half bus ride) I have plenty of time to really get into leveling.

I know that lots on here use RRM and I suspect RWM as well. There shouldn't be any problem with those two mods.

I will wait till I get a couple mil exp, but I should have 2 or 3 toons I am bringing up. Thanks for the quick responce.

You can do this by writing "[code ]" at the beginning of your text and "[/code ]" at the end (without the space between the e and ]). But you can also just quote another user and remove everything but the text in the "[code ]...[/code ]". Then you can add your character there!

Hey Reborn - good to see you back. I did quit and I deleted all my chars, stashes and had a 6 month break from it all. I'm back running Baal with a sorc now.

EDIT: I don't know if I'll regain the no 1 spot, Tweety has that stiched up now.

There is no official Required level. Personally, I think the table speaks for itsself with the huge majority in the 90s. Realistically speaking (nothing to do with this table) you've only just begun when you reached 90. If you're serious about reaching a high level, everything before 90 is just a big long character setup process.

As for my own update, I won't bother the table, I suffered a death last night but did what felt like a herculean effort to recove all the lost experience plus the bit I had gained before dying. Gross gains: 8 million, net gain: 2 million.

I've been sidetracked on a few different projects most of the last two months and there several tough projects that I would like to do but I finally had to admin that I just can't do them all. So I'm going to focus on my most important for now, this one.

MH is teh 3vil, but I don't see a problem regarding the 99 thing. If you want to level effectively, you have to search for a good map and keep that one anyway. You would just have a little advantage when searching for one... Let others decide!

I was hopin people would see it that way R2k, this is about the only thing I will be able to participate in with the forums other than just post. Since while it kinda is a tournament, it is also just a way to keep track.

2. In SP you have your map with you, but I can remember the number of tries to find a good map, time spent with finding the entrances and number of deaths... MH seems like an unfair advantage when finding the good map.

I like it for the seeing where monsters are, and also this one has a display of exp this session, exp to level, % to level, and also displays some other things like MF/GF. I completely understand though, just wanted to make sure before I added my toons.

I believe stroodles hit 99 with lycan a while ago. It's just not such a big deal when you've already got one 99

I believe stroodles hit 99 with lycan a while ago. It's just not such a big deal when you've already got one 99

Just a small update, but I'm going to do bigger ones as the time allows.

Level up for me! clvl 95 brings my XP cutting from 1.9 million to 900k. By my calculations, it will take me 22 hours to get to 96.

Some more runs and back infront of Masas... Going away for work for the rest of this week so no D2 till the weekend.

I got in almost 20 million in runs (about 20) tonight in my last D2 in several (5 or so) days. I've picked up ~21 million since starting 95, so I'm about 10% done (XP wise) with the level. Only 204 million to go!

Edit: Silo should come and edit his character. I know for a fact he's over 3 billion atm.

Thought I would update, got level 80, now I can get decent exp in the pit got a arm of leoric in Hrus' give away and it upped my power a TON hopefully I will climb a bunch of places in the next couple weeks.

Some nice finds in the last 20mill. The Death's Fathom up's Ayla's Bliz damage to just over 7.5 K.

My strafer is still a little low for this, so I hope it's OK that I added her, going to be doing Baal runs now if she doesn't die, so hopefully she won't be that low for much longer.

Anyone has contact with robin? has he got second lvl99 yet?

I could contact him, but a feeling tells me that he blew it.

Small update - Found a 9% Nightwings, taking Ayla's Bliz damage over the 8K mark..... just need a Bliz Ormus and I should be over 10K?

that's a lot of runs....... No CtA, and it's funny you should say, I'm back using the Harley after getting a little too close to a fanatical Lister pack (got the body back but it still hurts to lose 2 hours).

Another level for gambling. From my calculations I need about ~2300 Pindleruns for that, which I doubt I'll make.

Yeah, I'm beginning to be very concerned about dying at lvl 98. Right now if I die once every 400 runs I'll die 2-3 time during lvl 97, only an extra 80 runs for 20 million extra exp.

At lvl 98 each death will take around 100 runs to recover from, if I die once every 400 runs, about 1 fourth of my time will be recoving from deaths with 10 deaths for an extra 80 million exp and 1000 extra runs.

I've resisted spending my Ohm to make CtA and messing with prebuffing that, but I think I may go ahead and do it once I hit 98.

8 hours of runs, and zero deaths. I'm back to Baal running, and just screwed Pindle.

CtA will make an enormous difference, at least it did for me. I lost some MF on switch, but now I dropped the FHR charms that I was carrying around for MF charms and I find some stuff every now and than.

No! Because then their would be 100's of lvl99's in their. I know that necronub has 4 from 1.09 iirc. Oh yeah, my paladin has moved up above foddercannoned but i cant be bothered updating that beast.

Too true - I can remember dying with my hammerdin @ 3.181 bil, not getting my body back and it absolutely crushing me....... A D2 delete and restart happened not too long after that...........

Yeah, I'm okay with this! I know that leveling in 1.09 was MUCH easier. Ryondaahl and Icebird both have 7 lvl 99 chars! I will join you 1.11 guys soon, but if I fail in 1.09, I won't even have to try in 1.11. ^^
