The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Hey Feysal, I saw you read the thread yesterday, how come so quiet? We could use your words of wisdom. You're not suddenly shy because of you verbal gaffe?

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Number of people alive (16) half plus one (9) to lynch, 10 to lock.

Day three question number one (Three spins):

What not so Suggestive forum member had a collection of diggler dirks?

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Gorny said:
7) The required number of votes to seal a lynch for the day is equal to one half the remaining number of people alive (rounded up) plus 1. Once someone reaches this number of votes, they will be lynched no matter what; however, the day will still continue to its scheduled conclusion. Half rounded up equals a lynch, but no lock, so the lynchee has until the days end to persuade the town otherwise.

Sorry Gorny the others are right, it should be 8 to lynch, 9 to lock.

Very well...just hope you don't fall victim to your own technicality ;) I took it as meanint half plus one was a lynch but not a lock.

Edit: Hey Feysal wins three spins.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Bonus question worth 6 spins if anyone gets it:

What OTF forum member was/is known to greet new people with the line: "Welcome, enjoy your stay and all that crap!"

Or some similar line?

Grrr :nervous: made me do a lot of work on that translating lol

i thought some Vig might be recruited by someone else, not that he could recruit himself

it was just a loose idea based of some protown vig and a neutral Vig around in this game, and then what if the protown vig got recruited if we had a recruiter in the game as well...

I have fallen afoul to Gorny's foreshadowing. Can I bribe you with $9,400?

I checked in to see what the night result was, but I had no time to read further or reply, due to a post explosion in another game I had to deal with. I'm caught up now.

I'm not sure what you mean by gaffe, I was completely serious with the connection between Bad Ash and Leo. If you look back, all I did was ask a question, only to have Bad Ash mock me and Leo blow up at me. Fact is, Leo answering the question when she had no spins from the rest of the day was pointless, unless she did it deliberately to block me and Noammr from getting into the night game (korial too, but he was not online). If she blocked us out blindly it was really pointless, and if she had any information to base that decision on, I'd like to know.

As for today... I'm not all that sorry we lost Noodle. His last post indicates he was not aware that he could kill his targets, and I think we're better off finding out like this rather than having Noodle accidentally kill, say, a cop. Since TC and Noodle were insane, there is probably another cop and doctor alive, and they are likely to be sane.

How Dragomir and Trionth ended up dead remains a mystery. In case of Trionth, it does look like he was shot by John McClane, aka vigilante. But, it would be very bold to shoot people blindly, and if the vigilante also killed Dragomir, the accuracy demands some explanation. To me, this looks like a cop with limited vigilante kills, and he used two of those shots after investigating two mafia. Even so, that would be one lucky cop, but still more credible than a vigilante blindly having two lucky shots.

Something about that yippee-ki-yay line bothers me, as if I saw it recently somewhere else. But I can't remember where.

At this stage, I very much doubt we have more anti-town groups than the cult and one mafia. If there were two mafias, we should've seen more kills. We've had luck, but I can't trust us to be so lucky that one kill would've been stopped on both night 1 and 3.

I don't have the faintest idea, but I had Google find out for me.

I found two members who had used that line... my guess out of them is My_Immortal6.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Doesn't John McClane use "...that yippee-ki-yay line" in the Die Hard movies? Why are we assuming he is vigilante? Why can't he be a good cop? Wasn't he a good cop in the movies?

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Clarification of the question: I'm looking for the one who was most known for that line...and likely started it's use.

It's a she I think.

If either you, Noammr or Korail got that question, Bad Ash wouldn't have been able to play the night game. Why do you trust Noammr/Korail more than Bad Ash? Are you suspiciuos of Gory or Mara?

Should the players that specifically pressured for a Noodle lynch be more closely looked at? How about Bad Ash and Mara, they are the 2 that voted for both TC and Noodle.

I don't think Dragomir was killed by John McClean, as there was no special bullet or blood text written on his body.

It's his catch phrase from the movie when he's about to do some big action scene.

If there is only 1 mafia team, then it's the Joker team. How many players in that group do you think there are?
