The Noodle Compound V. 2.0

Re: The Noodle Compound

Battlecruiser operational

Carrier has arrived

(starcraft joke)

I don't do Starcraft. Someone's told me it's for boys. (more likely, this person knows me very well and doesn't want to see me :weep: at yet another game I can't play)

I however do have a friend with a black hole in his stomach, if he eats you, you can experience the event horizon though it'll be the last thing you experience too, it gets kinda s**t after that.

Re: The Noodle Compound

I play Starcraft 2, though...I'm not very good.

*cries in corner*

Hey, at least you can play it. I can't even install it. To be fair I can't install anything at all so Starcraft isn't more special than anything else but still. God I suck. :weep:

Ehh I'm not that great either.

Honestly... I played 6 games of 1v1, which included the first 5 test matches to see which league I was placed in. After 2 people leaving, winning 2 games and loosing one I was placed in platinum. 6th game and I got my *** royally handed to me.

I do have several games of 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4. I believe me and a friend managed to hit gold on 2v2, although some of that was cheese tactics. xD

Custom games are really awesome though!

I'm sure you could install it if you gave it a chance! =) Assuming your computer can handle it.

If not there is always Starcraft 1. :whistling:

Re: The Noodle Compound

Erm, no. I can't install f*** all to be honest. I always need to ask others to install things for me. *embarrassed*

Re: The Noodle Compound

Hmm. Did you try and ask them for advice and pay attention when they install so you can do it on your own later?

Don't get me wrong, I totally respect your decision if you don't want to learn it. For some people it's just not interesting to learn such. Just a bit curious. >_>

With that said, I do know a few people that don't know how to install stuff either. =P So it's not like your all alone in not knowing it. =)

Oh aye, I've tried, with "help" in the room should I need some.
Of course I needed help. So this person looks at what I'm doing. I'm doing it the right way. But it's not working regardless. So this person does exactly the same things as I was doing, and it works.
This applies to all computerstuff with me, I give up trying because for some reason what works for others doesn't work for me. I rather admit I'm too stupid than having it end in tears all the time.

Re: The Noodle Compound

Ahhh. I know it all to well from work. =P

I feel for ya though. It seems that for some people it just won't work. :S

People in the IT department, at least where I work has even come up with a nice strategy for such cases. Although it's too big a department to apply for individual people, depending on the case that's sent to us we can just leave it be for a day. Only do this for things that are not working, but is not essential to someones regular workday. Most of the time when we call back the problem solved itself. ^_^

Re: The Noodle Compound

At work I'm slightly better, just unfortunate. Our team's thinned out quicker than a rain forest and as a result I get the jobs previously done by our "tech guy".

I don't even look like a guy! (and some women in this part of the country do) :surprise2:

Re: The Noodle Compound

Ahhh.... the "tech guy" (not refering to you here)... for some reason the techier they are the more annoying they become. Always having some good solution or a smartass comment up their sleeve. While most of the those we work with are fortunately cool guys. At least they're willing to listen to advice, and not set in stone on their opinions or ways of doing things. I've met a few... shall we say elitist people before. If anyone is able to drive you insane they are. xD

Also I consider myself lucky to not work in a tech department where you live. ^_^ Although it wouldn't be much of a problem, since I'd do my staring, oooo'ing and aaaa'ing somewhere else instead. =P

Also, only watch the following vids if you do not have problems losing your night sleep. ( the bottom one is milder)

Re: The Noodle Compound

Damn you nurman! I was going to bed, but now I need a bathroom break first. :O

Is she actually a SC2 player? If so do you know which name she goes by? Looking for some more SC2 players to follow besides the usual ones. You know, TLO, Idra, Boxer, Incontrol, HuK, Kiwikaki, Dimaga, MarineKingPrime, Cruncher and of course not to forget Spanishiwa. :D

(I had to look up some of those names, and I'm sure I still forgot some... I'm terrible with names ).

Re: The Noodle Compound

I shouldn't have mentioned SC. sorry vivi and mikachu

well, good thing mass effect 3 is coming out eventually. and also battlefield 3
(woohoo vehicles!)

tossgirl :) wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/ToSsGirL

Also, I'd suggest you check out BigT, WhiteRa, Fruitdealer, Morrow, Naama, Grubby, Sheth, Artosis...

Heck anyone here http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/North_American_Star_League_Season_1 is worth mentioning.

I meant to mention WhiteRa and Fruitdealer too! ANd Artosis ofc. :D Can't recall seeing those other names, but probably seen a game or two from them.

And thanks for the name. Didn't know she's on teamliquid, but I'll have to take a look on that link you sent. :D

Edit: Just checked your link and saw she's from STX Soul. Kinda obvious considering the shirt. >_>

Also I just learned the other day that quite a few of the top players are streaming on justin.tv or something aong those lines. Have to take a look there too. :P

But if you're a zerg player and haven't seen Spanishiwa yet, you really have to check him out. He's got a very unique playstyle, and is good at mixing up his gameplay. He's doing quite good too, beating TLO in a 7 game showmatch with 5-2.

I think he's taken out several other good players too, so he's gaining popularity extremely fast.

I like SC2. :D

I just am stuck in a bad league, and I hate laddering :/

Then you're doing better than me! XD I don't even think I'm in a league anymore after they reset the ladder. :P

Re: The Noodle Compound

I don't ladder anymore. I'm sick of playing every freaking PvZ with 3gate robo expand. Still, playing co-op is fun.
