The Extreme Secret Cow Level

Re: The Extreme Secret Cow Level

Imbuing it turns it into a rare, and it's a wirts leg... it has no exceptional or elite versions...

Re: The Extreme Secret Cow Level

I gotta ask now...

Have you actually tried imbuing the leg and then upgrading it? If that actually worked I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I had an imbued pegleg on a macebarb back in 1.04 or so... I think he did about 100-300 dmg with it at 30-something. Killing Diablo with Wirt's leg was pretty funny.

well it's imbued, unfortunately the upgrade is ladder only and i play only on non ladder

Sorry but you can actually upgrade Wirts Leg. First you need a normal Wirt's Leg, no sockets. Once you have that use the Imbune quest from Charsi to get the rare Wirt's Leg. As a rare weapon there is a cube recipe to upgrade it, specifically:

Item + Ort rune + Amn rune + perfect Sapphire

Note this is not a ladder-only recipe, works on non-ladder too. This gives the "upgraded" version of Wirt's Leg.

Yes I know, now it is obviously not Wirt's leg anymore, technically. But it can be done.

Re: The Extreme Secret Cow Level

I do realize that this whole thread is mostly a joke, but the "unique wirts leg" may have actually have dropped for someone.

There are so many weird bugs that happen VERY rarely, especially in earlier versions of the game. I have had stats from a unique show up on the wrong base item. I am sure everyone is familiar with Occulus rings and Wizardspike gloves. That kind of thing does happen sometimes, although you never hear about unless the items are duped like crazy. I have had Horadric Staff boots before, so a unique wirts leg in entirely possible!

Re: The Extreme Secret Cow Level

All the items you just mentioned are hacked items from past versions. They never actually dropped in a game, someone figured a way to import them onto Bnet. They don't actually fall legally.

Well I don't know the specifics on those items, I assumed it was a one time drop caused by a bug in the game, and then some duper got a hold on it. I know I have personally seen Horadric Staff boots (back in 1.08) and have heard of Steelclash gloves.

Re: The Extreme Secret Cow Level

I'm not completely sure which three letters to use to describe this thread...WTF...or...OMG...but you get the idea.

Not all, some are accidents which then get duped to hell (mainly the steelclash gloves etc).

I used to have a Horadrim staff with the same stats as Brainhew, so stuff like that does happen.

I think stoutewolf used to have atmas ammy in boot form, legitly.

That pink rabbit is a pest in my side, I hope to buck shot it next time I see it.:rolf:

Re: The Extreme Secret Cow Level

Spreading this kind of rumours can be very dangerous for whole d2 community and that's why I'm not entertained at all with this crap. People should be a little more responsible, but what can you do when you have whole bunch of stupid kids here writing whatever they like.

It's all in good fun. Not like it wasn't mentioned several times in the thread that the entire thread was bogus and not to be done ingame at all.

On a side note may I suggest you try to be a tad more polite to your fellow forumites, you can be displeased with us, but express that politely and without insults please. :guiness:

I totally agree. CNN.com just displayed the header "BREAKING NEWS: NEW D2 SECRET LVL." that got me, and the rest of our internet-worked world, very excited. Sadly the headline was rooted in a baseless DII.net rumor. I'm currently contacting a lawyer so that I can take this site, and its dangerous rumor mongering, out of business for good.

(whatever the  emoticon is; I don't feel like sifting through 128 emoticons)

This is a joke, right? I really cannot tell anymore ;)
