I've been thinking of a new twist for the next installment of forum assassin ...sort of like a tourney type thing.

Everyong is paired up in twos, and the winner moves on to the next level.
The winner of one match goes on to face and hunt the winner of the another bracket.

I'm going to do away with killing on kill posts too.

Also, I'm going to tweak the rules a bit aand close a few loop holes.

The next game will happen in June sometime.

killing on kill posts is lame, since kill posts HAVE to be a certain way and you can't defend yourself, it's the right move to make fixing it

Also, when quoting someone and trying to pull off a kill, you must only quote the post of the person you are attempting to kill, including what was quoted by the person you are attempting to kill does not count.

And as to Xenon's strategy of using a mile and a half long minefield or variuos poison dagger types in a post, thats outlawed too.

You can still string daggers and put in false ones, but the point here is that 10 or 15 lines worth is a bit over the top.

Also, wildcards are gone ... we never bothered with them.

Interesting idea, but might that get a little problematic if some brackets finish their rounds early while others drag on for a week?

EDIT: As for the poison dagger strings, you could make them much more fair by declaring that any poison daggers in hyperlinks, whether in the text or the URL, automatically fail. Picking through five or six lines of straight text isn't too bad (though it is does kinda defeat the spirit of the game,) and it was really the links that made that tactic such a pain.

There was only ever 1 legit poison dagger in the minefield though
Sometimes I just left it out completely to screw with ppl.
