minisips are plastic baggies with flavored sugarwater in them. comes in like.. orange, lime, grape, n cherry flavors i think - oh, and 1 yellow one. but it didnt taste like lemon or banana. they're really watery, and the staple lunchtime drink of practically everyone when i was in elementary.

I'm curious to know if anybody recognizes the film sets in the following screenshots:

I do have a nasty case of late summer allergies and I'm rather doped up, so maybe I'm hallucinating, but these sets - while not perfect replicas - seem awfully familiar to me. Thoughts?

1st screeny looks kinda like the shack in the middle of the forest, where Hyuga was waiting with that old geezer with the huge revivification tanks - from Xenogears. 'n Fei and Elly had crashed in the surrounding forest.

I'd have to look at some screencaps to see if the shack interior matches up. If it does, that's a pretty cool little easter egg - especially for a horror buff like me. :thumbsup:

When Evil Dead I was released (must be ~25 years ago), it was abolished in Germany because of the terrible things done to the possessed people. It was ruled that these scenes violate the dignity of humans which is regarded as untouchable by our constitution. However, a few years later, the constitutional court decided that the possessed people in the movie aren't humans anymore, so they don't have dignity and the ban was lifted. BTW, the uncut version of Brain Dead is banned in Germany as well AFAIK. Thank god I saw it before that happeend, respectively I saw the original, English version which they might have forgotten to ban. Oh my god, that was the very, very best splatter movie I ever saw ! BTW, it's from Peter Jackson, probably being the movie which mde him famous.

Yes, Braindead/Dead Alive is a classic. I wouldn't say it made Jackson a household name - to horror aficionados, yes (Meet the Feebles and Bad Taste are also quite good), but for mainstream audiences, it was LotR that really put him on the map.
