The Amazon Territory -- Off Topic

Lets see.... Dredd still wubs Xenon and me.
The Comm OT just isn't as active as it was back in the day.
Sooo... As for who I am and where I come from? You could say...

I come from the net.
I've travelled through chat groups, gaming boards, forums, to this place... Diabloii.net.
My Format? Off Topic Queen; To post, and conquer

A Hero Cookie and a pat on the back for whoever knows this opening.

A Hero Cookie and a pat on the back for whoever knows this opening.

.....they say the user lives outside the net and inputs games for pleasure.

No one knows for sure... But I intend to find out!

ReBoot!

Bestest animated show of our time. The ending really got to me though.

*Hands Hero Cookie to Superdave*

Oh my, no! Now why would I want to destroy someone as witty and outspoken as yourself? We must take care of our elderly.

reboot...had to google it...

ghost in the shell>reboot =P
I don't care what anyone says, even anime can't compare to ReBoot, yeah I said it... That show will always hold a special place in my heart. I think it was too short-lived...

You say that... but I dunno. I watched the first GitS movie, and it was really rather random. They didn't explain what ghosts were (altho i got a general idea from reading up on the storyline on fansites afterwards) or really explain the ending. It seemed a bit too... detached. The opening was cool, but they failed to explain that later on as well.

Serial Experiments Lain, is far more -ownz- from what I've seen of gits so far (on 2nd tv ep), in so many different ways. Have you seen it yet? I think i sent you the torrent for a dual-audio ogm encode.

Macross > ghost in the shell, hands down. Storyline, graphics, cg, music, Mecha!

My friend's teacher worked on reboot, among other shows. He said they always inserted subtle (and some not-so) references to reboot + beastwars into their stuff, to watch him twitch as he remembered :P
I watched it a bit when I was like.. 10 or so, it was pretty cool for the time. Didn't like the next version where endo grew up and became all fake-badassy neT pirate.

I still get tingly when I see the purple game blocks descend from the sky

Hahaha, yeah I remember some of the hints.
The 'Evil Dead' game with the guy with the chainsaw and shotgun.
Or when all the virals were being restored to back-up copys or something on the end of the 3rd season. I remember that reference cause one of them said, "Great Norton's Ghost!"
Get it? Norton Ghost? Huh? Huh? Get it? Norton Anti-virus? Huh? Awww you guys don't get it...

ñé®à

Norton ftL. Nod ftw - cept expensive :(
I still use it, because it's somewhat... reliable, but It blocks some of the webcomics - icp tag data overflow (or somethin') - i read, cos it interprets the overflow as someone pinging me. Then I can't read the comic until the next reboot / day / whenever =(

And its always the same ones... Like uhm.. #125 on applegeeks, or the Hyantha (sp?) one on penny arcade

Really? My Norton runs fine, maybe its cause I've 'fine-tuned' the fire wall and ad blocker. I just use Norton as it is somewhat reliable and affordable.
I mean living in Canada with nothing really that important on my system is the main reason, it does a fine job with virus's so im not complaining, and im not really worried about a hacker attack when there are trillions of other systems out there to break into.

i like nortons. nortons is good.

unless of course the moron who builds your mums pc puts an unupdated nortons 97 on it (2 yrs ago we got it) and then put on some files one of which contained a virus.

i hate that guy

Not really a big fan of the licorice.
Back in the day I was a huge candy freak.
I still kind of am, I like my suckers, candy necklaces and chocolate.

Candy necklaces taste good, except when you get a big chunk of string in your mouth. :undecided:

Who said you'd have to eat the string? :confused2:

I meant when you try to bite off the candy off the string, sometimes you accidently get a big chunk of string too.

im not much of a candy man anymore....i think all that sugar eroded my sweet tooth. anything too sweet now makes me feel sick. DAMN!
