The accursed squid has struck
So, I booted up my copy of D2 today to do a couple of dozen Meph runs...
...and found all my characters were missing.
Naturally, the idiot that I am, I haven't any backups. There are one or two small mercys... I keep ATMA open almost constantly, so I didn't lose any important items on my main characters - my CtA and Beast were salvaged, my best vipermagi was saved, my arachnids was safe... the biggest blow was that I didn't have my MF sorc open at the time, so I've lost full tals, a load of cold charms, and, irritatingly, my SECOND 49MF pair of wartravs.
I also lost the equipment on my singer barb in making... he was only lvl ~40, but he had some amazing equipment in his stash, including a 10 fcr +2 barb skills amulet, a 20 fcr +3 warcries circlet, and a couple of rather sexy 10fcr rings - altogether, 200fcr of items lost.
So, I'm a bit miffed atm. I don't think I have the willpower to remake a dozen characters. I think this may be a good time to take a break from D2... for a couple of months, anyway, until it drags me back.
Anyway, I'll stick around the forums, because it's a warm and welcoming place, which is a rare thing on teh dreaded interwebs.
