OK, so I'm working the STAT POINT numbers here, and adding up what's needed for various breakpoints, etc.
Assume character is level 76 (minimum for Drac's and Wisp) and done Tome & Anya quests
The basic setup:
Dracul's Grasp, Thundergod's Vigor, Gore Riders
Um'd Guillaume's Face, Um'd Herald of Zakarum
Grief Phase Blade, AP Chains of Honor
Highlord's Wrath, Wisp, Ravenfrost, Torch, Anni
Strength: Min 130, Max 155
Dexterity: Min 65, Max 95
AllResist: Min: 202, Max 222 (Lightning resist +35 and 10% to max)
IAS: 55 + Fanaticism
Crushing Blow: 50
This is what it looks like:
Strength is already high enough to wear everything*, so never add any points to strength
(* depending on how crummy the torch and anni are, I may have to pre-buff w/ a strength ring to equip HoZ, but after HoZ, everything else *seems* to fit just fine)
Dexterity isn't high enough to equip the Grief Phase Blade, plus I'm gonna need that for blocking anyway
QUESTIONS:
1. Is that resistance enough?
2. Is that IAS enough?
3. Is upping the HoZ worth the extra strength required? The base smite dmg goes up an average of 92% (from 20-28 to 46-46), but the str req is high ... 142. Of course, you have a minimum 130 str with the base build and the lowest possible anni, torch and dracs. So getting to 142 means either Stat-Adding 12 Str points that would otherwise go to Life, or finding anni, torch or dracs that, together, combine for 12 over the minimum (e.g., a 12 Dracs, and the exact-middle torch and anni). Maybe this isn't such a bad idea after all?
4. With that setup, how many dex points do I need to max blocking? (I think I need a total of 131 at level 90 and 140 at level 97. Even if I have a bunch of +skills, I don't think Holy Shield is going much higher than the +35 blocking you get at HS 20, so that's not gonna help. Coincidentally, the dex requirement for the Phase Blade is 136. Depending on the rolls from anni, torch and Ravenfrost, that means a level 97 would need to Stat-Add anywhere from 45 to 75 dex points.) (Any comments on whether these numbers are right?)
Any help at all will be appreciated!
THANKS!
