I have a Saracen's Chance unique ammy that gives me +25 res and +12 all atributes. I also have everything listed as "rich" equipment, except for the anni.
I think im ready to uber tristam :)
Smite damage: 590-757 (i know its actually higher)... I have seen ppl in this post with more (1000's).. I wish I could achieve that damage. My Sanctuary came from a Sacred Rondache.

10% Chance To Cast Level 2 Iron Maiden When Struck will probably kill you, since it removes your life-tap.
 
Here I am again. I know Smite damage isnt shown properly, it is higher than you see.
My currently "false" smite damage is: 597-780

I have seen people with much higher "false" smite damage in this post.. so, is there anything wrong in my build?

You don't really need fhr.Zeal and smite are both uninterruptible so you won't enter recovery animation all that often.Your gear is neat,just stack more resists,get a few extra charms.



 
For an overall zealot, heaven's light vs. redeemer; Which is better?

redeemer obviously does more dmg which is very sexy, but heaven's light has got the crushing blow. for zealing as well.

my gear is probably:

guillames
smoke
115 (4 pdiamonds) kurast shield
gores
dracs
smoke in archon plate
ravenfrost
30 res ammy
dual leech ring with other mods
string of ears

I want him to be able to do other stuff too, like maybe get keys or something.
 
I gave my paladin a mageplate nigma, and he can key run in a full game. Nith corpse explode is kinda tricky but thats why i make sure to smite him only and none of the monsters.

Chen from lookin at ure set up, you obviously dont have Hr's kicking around all over the place... my suggestion is build a sorc or zon to go key running for you...

oh and crushing blow becomes negligible at a certain point (cant remember what it is) so i would go for the damage... you dont really need crushing blow for regular monsters... only bosses

Not to derail the thread, but he can make a tal set light sorc. My tal set light sorc does 18k lightning, 3xx%mf. I mf like 3-6 keysets a day, then use this 1 point smiter build to do my ubers.



 
actually i have other gear on another pally (frostadin). I have a blizz mf sorc in the works but its much more fun using zeal....

As for redeemer, does it make a decent weapon to actually zeal with and kill stuff?
 
Well! I did my first run today with a friend, he is a hammer. He helped me clearing the way to Izual, Lilith and Duriel

Lilith was pretty easy, she died in like 20 seconds.
Izual killed me once in a single hit, I think he threw Iron maiden on me (or one of the monsters that were around), I didnt notice... so I came back and killed him.
Duriel was even easier.

Uber Tristram

I went into the portal and started running around tristram, from top to left...

*Meph*
He was the first to come. I started attacking him and he died in about 15 seconds, my life barely changed.. and he didnt use convinction.

*Baal and Diablo*
They came together, both on me, and I killed them in like 30 seconds. Again, my life barely changed.

I had my belt filled with full rejuvs.

Thanks for this guide, its awesome! I still need to do it *alone*, but my hammer friend actually didnt do anything in tristram... he didnt hit any of the ubers, I did all by myself.

He didn't?

I am sure he did. Look at Meph's feet (and your own) on your first screenie. The green aura indicates that he is using conviction.

There are awfully few minions. Did your friend cleaned them up for you?
 
Wow im stupid then... Im kind of new to d2 so I dont know all the curses yet.
What can I say? Fade + resist charms in inventory = easy meph. I didnt use salvation.

Edit: he didnt kill the minions, I killed them, they die pretty fast

i would suggest not killing the minions... he will just summon more... if u lose your lock on meph he will **** you up the bum... kill him first, then the minions will be just for fun, no worries/hassles

Yeah thats what I did. Killed meph, then killed his minions for fun :)

By usingthis guide as a base, I made a smiter and uber tristramed for the first time today, solo
Setup:

Grief pb
Forti ap
Zaka
Draculs
Guillaume's
Gores
Tgod's
Highlord
Raven

I must say that he is very effective, although meph was giving me trouble because life tap didn't go off in the first 10 seconds or so..

Anyways, would you recommend coh instead of forty here? I think I will use coh the next time, just for some practical expirience

Did anyone else get Diablo clone last night on US East? I was just playing around for no particular reason, and I got the soj message. (When you get that, are you supposed to stay in the game or what?) Anyway, I'd seen that message a number of times before, but it came up repeatedly this time, and then "Diablo walks the earth". Woot!

So I swapped out one or two items and went to the stony field. I found diablo, walked up, and smited him to death in about 10 seconds. My health bulb didn't budge, and neither did my merc's. Yawn. What a cream puff. Killing Lilith was much tougher, honestly.
