Tesladin mercenary help
I have a lvl 47 tesladin and I'm not sure what sort of mercenary to get. Wurmer's excellent guide suggests a defiance mercenary, but he did not use holy shield where I am (currently lvl 5, may boost it later), so it won't be as big a help for me. I am also considering a might mercenary, to boost my physical damage some, giving me much better life leech. However, I do not have good weapons, so using might might (heh) be a waste (I'm currently using Aldur's Rhythm). The other option is the holy freeze mercenary, of course. I'm not discounting the effectiveness of the other mercenaries, but to me it seems like they should be equipped well to make as big of an impact as act 2 mercs.
I'm not sure what route I will take once holy shock/resist lightning are maxed. I was considering boosting zeal and sacrifice for more physical damage, but again I don't have good weapons and also doing that would lessen the impact a might mercenary would have IMO. I'm also considering getting holy freeze and resist cold or salvation, (the teslafroster from Wurmer's guide), but then a holy freeze mercenary would be less useful. Last option would be to get vengeance and work on resist fire/cold.
What do you guys think? I've made a frost zealot before, but he got eaten alive in hell and so I'm thinking a tesladin would fare better (~2x more elemental damage). Also, making a crescent moon is much easier than making a doom runeword. Once I find an Um rune, I'll start looking for 3os -20 or -30 weapons for a crescent moon. Maybe that could also help decide on a mercenary.
