Summoner Nec

I find that partying with a summoner nec is impossible.

It makes it very hard to keep track of what is going on as there are too many minions moving about. This makes it hard to find the bad guys.

Does anyone else have this problem ? and are there any tricks people use to help with this problem ?

Depends what char you play with, I play as a summoner and no one complains. If I party with an ama they just sit back and fire arrows into the crowd of bodies. Barbs/java/pala can attack in the front line, sorc/trapper gets protection from minions.

They should help the situation - but I kinda get what you mean about the "overcrowding".

Plus, they're always sucking up all the corpses to remake the weak skeletons that die by the ton- or raising them as EVEN MORE minions. Forget using Find Item, Find Potion, or even a Redemption aura- and the druids wolves will STARVE to death.

Yea- I like playing a summoner necro solo, but I never party with them.

Maybe they are doing it wrong, i hardly ever had to recast skeletons. Occasionally one or 2 would die if i ran into a especially evil Lister or so but apart from that my skells seemed immortal.

maybe your party members need more points in raise skele, not skele mastry, it strengthens them faster. I havnt had problems using/partying w/ summoners...

whens the last time you played with a necro? Back when they could summan 20+ skeles?

Parties don't work out if there is a lack of communication. You have to to agree on a playstyle that works with all the characters present. A necro can't mindlessly waste corpses if they can be utilized better by someone else. Communication is key in many situations in and out of DII.

That's one of the reasons my summoner tries to solo the game, the only exception being bosses or playing with people I trust.

I've never had a problem using one or playing partied with one. Enemies should be easy to find because they're the ones with the curses over their heads. If they aren't cursed, the necro is doing something wrong.

I don't really mind skellies - I find windy druids make it hard to see what is going on under all those swirling leaves. And don't get me started on CoS

ps - Lucky is right - decide your strategy and stick to it. A relatively intelligent player knows to leave the boss corpses if there's a hork ho barb etc
