Such thing as a +3 ES Ormus?

Yes, the only skills that cannot come on an Ormus are LM, CM, FM, Hydra and Frozen Orb... all the lvl 30 req skills. :thumbsup:

Btw, what do you think about Tals ammy (for new my CB/ES sorc!) vs a +3 Light +mana amulet? I was thinking that the +2 to all skill levels would be more beneficial than +3 to just lightning. I'm particularily foucusing on warmth because it gives +12% mana regeneration per lvl, and i don't think it has diminishing returns on it. +2 to warmth would mean 24% faster mana regeneration but a bit less CB damage. Also the +50life and +42mana are hard to find in rare ammys.
 
It doesn't have deminishing returns, but think of it this way... that extra +1 skill to lightning is...
1 less mana per Teleport
1 more point in Energy Shield
1 more point in Charged Bolt

The +mana of your ammy will be effected by frosties, sojs, arachs, silkweaves...

I think that a +3 light, +mana ammy is much better for this build since both dmg and tanking ability are based on lightning skills.

So far, my sorc is planned like this:
20 CB
20 LM
20 Lightning
20 TK
7 ES
20 TS
1 Warmth
1 Frozen Armor
1 Tele

Yes, level 99. This sorc, my wolfbarb, and my psn necro will be my goldy characters :lol:

So, should i put 20 into warmth and 1 into TS instead?
 
1 into TS either way... the dmg wont vary much with your maxed LM anyways, my sorc has lvl 1 TS and it does about 2.3k dmg. I experimented with maxing warmth as well, but I think if this is a PvP build than you won't have tooo much time to regen mana anyways, I have a lvl 1 warmth, and it barely takes much time... I can just go tele away and wait 15 seconds to regen most or all of it. If you wanna spend those 19 extra points I would suggest maxing out Frozen Armor for melee chars, or maxing CL, for the extra lightning dmg. Lightning can be used on those annoying absorbing zons, who will only take dmg if dealt in huge amounts, with my sorc, more zons feel nothing from CB, but lose up to half their life in a hit, or even die from a shot of Lightning and the dmg is only 21k (no maxed CL) :bonk:
 
I suppose thats from my +23 all skills... I am still lvling her though... will have 1 more GC and a CTA to bump up skills 2 more... which is always nice.
 
Mwhaha! Do you lose it in equip? Or do you not have full charms yet? If equip, what kinda stuff are you using...
 
kinda lost dmg with the full res setup, i can get to 40k+ but i can like 10 res all... sigh, i get dmg i lose res, i get res and dmg i lose fcr, i get fcr i lose res or power, though life eh :(
 
Haha.. 40k dmg eh... I take it you're not using ES? Haha.

Thats sounds good though for a nice full res build.
 
if you are in meele range of the zon, wouldn't she take 22-24k dmg per hit from CB? Even if you do put out 21k, it's still less than the CB dmg from meele range right? I guess you mean using charged bolt from a range, b/c it's probably tough tanking those zons.
A lvl 1 Thunder Storm after +skills= 1409-2020 dmg (actually a bit more cause i was down one skill point) while a lvl 20 Thunder Storm after +skills is 3222-3917 dmg, so I'm still undecided.
I still think extra warmth would be nice, but its probably not worth the 20 skill points.

btw how well do you do against meele chars that have stacked resists and 20 absorb? How about a char with those resists and 40 absorb?

40 absorb I can't harm at all except a little with lightning and my light dmg is only about 21k... as for zons.. I think the dmg is dealt per bolt... even when in close. So they absorb it all little by little, since Tgods is +20 not 20% they can handle it. But with a big imediate 21k dmg, they start feeling the pain! Ultimate pain!!!
 
i can kill most 60% absorbers with ease, about 3-4 hits should do it

edit: if they dont stack!!
 
Abtarkerpal... as you can see it depends on your overall dmg, the higher the better to deal with absorbers... this means that it depends on whether or not you use ES... which will limit your dmg by a fair bit... although makes up for itself in defense.

even if you CAN tank the zon, barb, pally, or any other strange people from "melee melee land", there is a slim slim chance that ALL 24 bolts will hit.
 
Well if you tele onto there name... most of the time all 24 will hit, just like with a CS zon... it works wonders in PvM too!
