@ Tragor: Yes, I had that problem too when I tried to update Anneka (she has reached level 65 and is running NM Meph - the first time I have managed to get that far!).

Unfortunately, I don't think we have a ladder admin at the moment, so I don't know who to report the fault to. :scratch: Any ideas?
 
hmm, i also have the problem. i cant update. it says "update done" but then it fails to show the update on the ladder?

anyhow, ive done some more pit runs with allanon. best find so far was the cranebeak (i think) war spike. 1st elite so far in the pit for allanon. he also gained a level (but cant update it)

I decided to reopen my HC carreer. I stopped it when 1.10 was released.
My longest lasting victim died to Hell Duriel, after running out of money for merc ressuction... No Pits then.
I will start by killing a Blizz, IB, Fireball, Meteor sorc. :lol:
Actually, I started yesterday and she is at level 18 by now, spanking The Countess until she lets go a Ral for Leaf... (bought myself a +3 Fireball/+2 Warmth short staff)
Wish her good luck, as she will be the one getting hurt by this reckless player
 
Wow, sure is quiet round here. Guess with schools/colleges reopening a lot of people have less time, and the TWD tourney definitely seems to have taken a lot of people over there. Added a couple of levels to Clarise, and did the countess, but otherwise nothing for me to add.

Well some time ago since I did some play with my HCL char. But my freezezealot got another level and sitting in Inner Cloister. If just my rouge merc can gain one more level so she can use WF. Nice to see how the killing speed will be for her with that kind of weapon

Well I don't really have time to play with my HCL chars now with the TWDII tournament taking up all my time. Sometimes I do run NM Meph with my lvl 66
zerker barb. I already did around 90 runs with pretty good finds. I will post the best finds when I get to a noticeable number of runs. (200-250)
 
Sad to report that Anneka, my Fire Magezon, died at the age of 67 to a pack of Fanat Stygian Dolls while running NM Meph. She was doing so well, I had been starting to plan her Hell gear from what she had found... :hanky:

Oh well, she will just have to be avenged!

Edit: Still can't update the ladder - where should we report this to?
 
Bachar-Yerian, my Conc Barb continues to roll through A3 NM. He's reached the Travincal WP where he took a short break. His next push will take him past Mephy unless I run out of time, run out of stash (like he's gonna find that many goodies, yeah), or run out of patience.

He's found some good stuff but almost nothing in the way of high-powered weaponry. Best find was a Skystrike from someone in Kurast (don't remember where exactly it dropped). Could come in handy later against those FE bosses.

@Simeonb - Borlag asked if someone could tend the ladders while he came to grips with his new family arrangement (hopefully he's gotten some sleep in the last month). I don't know if anyone volunteered. I would but I have no web skills. I can build a web server (hardware) but I can't program it (software). With everyone in the TWD, we'll just have to wait and keep our own scores for a while.
 
Had some time to play today so I decided to work on Clarise instead of the TWD.

Started off by getting her some levels vs Norm Baal. Not too hard to take her up to lvl 60 that way. She then went on to defeat NM Andy and Duriel in the same session. Her lightning traps definitely are doing good damage now, but she needs some AR because her chance to hit is really sucking with the BF. I'll have to look for something, maybe some Angelic Rings though I am hoping for something better than that. Finally she found the jade figurine, and Khalims eye, and is now resting on the dockside.

Wow, me again.

Nearing the end of Act III Clarise found a blade of Ali Baba. My first one! She's getting onto the MF wagon now. Clarise ran Meph about 10 times, but didn't see anything great... I guess I don't have the patience for the endless Meph runs to get equipment. So Clarise went on to Act IV, got a Ko from the hellforge, and had the easiest time of any char I've had when it came to defeating Diablo. Got as far as killing Shenk in act V. Looking forward to Ancients ....

I spotted Borlag online so I thought I'd bump this up to try and catch his eye. :thumbsup:

Not much action recently. Bachar continues in A3 NM (now clvl 63). SirReptitious and Bullseye_Baby have been officially replaced by MrFrosty and Arameta, respectively. If Borlag or someone else has a chance to put them on the Ladder, great. If not, they've been announced and will just take a big jump once the Ladder become active again.

At least C_B is still here. :lol:

I got some time to run Bachar through the end of A3 NM. Started in Travincal and ended in the Pandy Fortress. What a run. The WF was strong with this one.

Best single session haul I've ever had, especially on such a short run. I had to sell the Mantle to make room for the others. The Shadowfang is my first ever ethereal unique. :thumbsup:

Haven't played with my Guardian Necro for a long time but I tried it out last night, and now he is dead. Stupid me forgot to do weapon switch before I stepped in to the WSK2 and with negativ resistance in all four a pack of boss Gloams made short work of him.

Some nice items like Harly, War Traveler(50%) :rant: Wealth Armor.
Although all can be replaced so no danger really a bit sad to loose a lvl 88 character.

Have played with my Bowazon aswell. I started playing act1 on players8 last night and will jump in to act2 today. Will see how far I can get on players8 probably to act5, because I already tried act4 and it worked fine, I kill all except the bosses because it takes more time than I think it's worth because my MF is at 20%.
The rarest i got must have been Black Hades, and best rune was Amn a bit low had hoped for more. And best charm was an +15 all res GC.

Yep, Tragor was right in spotting me, though at the time I didn't have time to do an update...

What worries me is that the update forms themselves aren't working right now and I've been trying to locate the problem but sadly without any result. The PHP script hasn't changed at all as no one's touched it after it was first brought to use so I'm out of ideas on this one...

Anyway, I'm in the middle of packing for my move to the bigger apartment next monday so unless it suddenly becomes clear within this weekend, I can't do anything about it until the mid of october when I get my computer hooked back online.

I did receive few offers for the ladder administration, though none of the members who offered had experience in php so I chose to wait for a bit if someone else offers also. Looks like nope, so once this problem gets fixed I'll let someone else take over. So far the offers I've received are from Aidenzz, Crazy_Bear and someone named Paul Bartel, who's forumname is unknown to me.

Well my Bowazon managed to go through act2 on players8 aswell. Had some nasty corners in Maggots Lair when suddenly a conviction Death Beetle jump to bite her legs. But she dodge and retreated and told her merc that a Beetle had an important message to tell him and the fool fell for it. He was a bit angry after the fight was over he calmed down after a while when I threatened him that I would take the Reapers Toll from him and after that he was real calm and nice.

It's rather fun to go through those areas again and see that my zon have improved since she was there the last time. I remembered that I had a hard time in the late part of act2 because my merc died all the time which lowered my damage, but I do have better gear now than before allthough the Windforce is the same with a bit increase in the max damage.

For items it wasn't all that exciting one stinking set amulet was the best they could offer in that act and it turned out to be Tancred's Weird like i didn't have enough of those before. I wasn't really satisfied with the Amn I got in act1 but maybe I should be the best I got here was an ETH :rant: .
No luck with charms either can't even remember what the best was maybe GC with +46 to stamina or something.

But atleast I had some luck with trhe weather and got myself a nice suntan in the desert. And I actually gained a level so she is a double eight and the same age as my little nec that sadly is death. It's quite a magic number because IIRC my Hammerdin died at that level aswell.

Well off to the act3 but that will wait until tomorrow no it's about time to hit the sack :sleep:

My wife says to ask if they've made a change to the security levels at the hosting site. Maybe called "somethingorother_secure" (i.e. php_secure or similar)? It's a guess but she says security changes can kill php scripts.

Naturally, this can all wait until October. Don't fret yourself. Take care of the family and enjoy the little one. :thumbsup:
 
I'm pleased to report Clarise has reached Conqueror status! Hooray.

Baal was no problem at all. Traps make it so easy to stay safe, even if it isn't super quick or anything.

The hardest thing to do was decide what skill had to come next after maxing LS/DS and SM. I decided the backup damage could come from Venom with BF so she is currently raising that. If that doesn't work so well then it might be a long struggle to get through Hell. I'm really hoping she can find some good runes from the countess though... She needs some better armour and some easier ones to find/make are runewords.

My amazon have managed to get through act3 on players8, the best rune I got was a Thul which I think is quite alright. I found a Credendum aswell the set Mithril Coil. The best charm I got was nice a SC with +20 Life and +35 AR.
I have also played through River of Flame and CS 5 times and I got 14 runes and the highest was an Ort rune. 6 El:s, 4 Eld:s, 1 Tir and 1 Tal.

Tried out Crystaline Passage and Glacial Trail on players8 and it worked great all the way to Glacial Trail when I met a boss pack of Moon Lords and they made short work of my merc and Valk, so I TP:d to town and saved and exit.
Seems like Glacial Trail is not the way to go for my Amazon.

She is now very close of gaining another level so soon it's level 89.

Well I have decided to pick up my seven guardians quest, and I will try to make a Sorceress to make guardian. This will be my fourth attempt. This time I'm going to make an Enchantress, think it's an interesting character to play.

Well hope this one will make it through the game
