Well, I don't know if I can keep up with DX now that he is flying along. But I am very happy to report that Ursa did pass the hardest single test of Hell, defeating the ancients in about 45 minutes of running battle, and I do mean running, and running and running...

Aborted the first one (FE Madawc) with TP, second one had better mods, but I couldn't seem to get set up, used up most of my potions in about 2 minutes, so TP out. Third time, brought more potions, ressurected the merc, and brought 2 stacks of arrows. No super dangerous mods (one LE, one Fanat) but the merc still went down in about 10 seconds flat. Korlic and Madawc seemed to chase Ursa no matter what, but the Valk kept Talic busy. Basically, Ursa ran around in circles taking pot shots at Korlic and Madawc when she could. Had to re-enchant a few times, and ran out of arrows! I'm glad I spent all those points in MA now... anyway, she was able to hide behind a pillar from time to time to regain stamina. Ursa was hit a few times, but each hit was a little less than half her life, so lots of time to drink potions. Slowly Korlic's and Madawc's life went down, till finally Madawc died. From that point, Ursa could hide behind a pillar, and the Valk could tank the other two at once. Korlic was almost dead anyway, so he went down pretty fast from there. The Valk easily held the last one in place, while Ursa continued to fire in magic arrows. Hooray! Survived hell ancients.

So now Ursa found the WSK 2 WP, but I have to get some work done today, even though I am on holidays... hopefully my first guardian will be tonight if I get time, or tomorrow, assuming Ursa doesn't get killed somewhere in between WSK 2 and Baal.

Thanks all! Crazy_bear, I see your right behind me! I can feel it, this is gonna be a great week for the ladder! Already 2 guardians (me and arcane_slayer), plus crazy_bear is very close, and then don't forget DX. We can hold the record for the most guardians in one week.
 
Congratz Mordalles! Guardianing such an unusual build is really challenging.

I don't have time to post each day, nor do I have too much time to play, so I can't keep the pace with you guys :lol: . I did some progress though. SniPe_XR is from now on Conqueror Snipe_XR, and she has reached lvl 77.
I started Hell Act I and I cleared Blood Moor and Den of Evil on p8 but progress was too slow for me so now I'm advancing on p5 till I can. I'm pretty surprised that she can kill with a decent speed even on Hell p5. Anyway I will progress through Hell slowly because I'm planning to run the Countess and the Pit for a while, and I want to reach a pretty high level (90 is my goal).

@Mordalles: well, my char is Sept so I even if I trade with you, I can't use that Lum. Thanks for the offer though!
 
Well you are ahead of me C_B haven't made it past the Ancients yet. My potions have ran out twice will try again soon. Can't wait any longer or I will be the second one reaching Guardian.
It is alot of running when facing them it seems like they are very keen on chasing me instead of my Valk and it's quite annoying. My merc didn't last more than a few seconds.

Have played some with my IK_Barb when I waited for my Amazon to catch her breath. Did some Baalrun on players1. Had two graalitems off my list. The Unique Succubus Skull and a set Grand Mastron Bow only the armor left to find.
But most important is that he gained another level to level 91

Woohoo my Amazon finally made Guardian. The Ancients was the biggest threat I have ever faced with any of my character. like C_B said it's alot running around. Shoot 1 or 2 shots and then move back and shot 2 more and so on. I actually used some taictics this time and try to take out the thrower first because his shout makes the others defense real high so I don't have much chance hitting them.
And to use this tactic the thrower could not have stone skin because he will be hard to kill then. But at last I got a roll that I was satisfied with, no FE and no Stone Skin on the thrower.
And about 20 minutes later they were down. The thrower took about 15 minutes to kill and the rest was rather easy.

After the Ancients nothing could really stop her from getting the Guardian status. I cleaned WSK without my merc because I didn't have money to ressurect him but my Valk did a great job. Not even Lister and his gang could kill her. The only time I had to recast her was after the mummies that poison is awful. And after Lister Baal didn't cause any trouble.

So at level 81 she made Guardian one of the lowest guardians I have had so far. It was a very fun build and when I got the Windforce it was even more fun.
Will try her against the cows see if I can get some runes.

DX, you beat me to guardian by a few hours. Not much at all.

She worked her way through the WSK then into the throne room, to be greeted by a pack of gloams at the stairs! ACK! She survived that, to find the throne room was full of gloams, undead dolls and amp dmg cursing succubi. For any other class that would be instant restart for me. But with the Valk and the decoy, Ursa was able to perservere. Baal's minions were no problem, and killing them she reached lvl 84.

I haven't got any crushing blow, so Baal took a while with Ursa's low dmg, but she was never in any real danger.

So it's a good ladder week, with 3 guardians. Drinks all round :buddies:

Now a sadder note....
I felt compelled to finish the last quest and kill Nihlithak, unfortunately, the CE got me. One CE killed her, over 1000 life. Ouch. And the demon limb and Harly went with her....

I'm glad I waited till after making guardian anyway!

Edit: My next project will be to go back to a char I started a long time ago, Clarise the Assasin. She reached lvl 38, but I am unhappy with the build so am going to start over. I'm going away for 2 weeks, starting the day after tomorrow, so I will start when I get back.

Well, I was going to wait till I came back, but I couldn't help myself. Started Clarise, got as far as rescuing Cain and got the Black Marsh WP.
I'm planning to make her a lightning trapsin, with Blade fury backup for a physical ranged attack. Should end up with at least 3 kinds of dmg, fire, lightning and physical.

Clarise lvl 15 Assasin Act I Normal.

no much D2 in the past weeks for me, at leats not in the HCL, but I've managed to gain a lvl with khan doing wsk runs at players 1 :lol:

Sorry for your loss crazy_bear! It's fortunately not that painful, because you made her a Guardian after all.

Now you know why :lol: . SniPe_XR has now an even better weapon to fool around with. She has also rescued Cain and gained a level to 78.
 
Bad news everybody, Count_Leviticus was killed today while searching for the HoP waypoint. No big loss for me because I play untwinked untill hell.
I wasn't really impressed with the build anyway. The mana requirements were so intense I had to go back to town and refill my belt every five minutes. I was overconfident on this one and didn't manage my crowds and of course was swarmed with no way to get to a tp. I might try again with the build, but doubt it. With the recent Zon action on the ladder I was tempted to make one but already committed to a Windmaster.

Borlag please add Dragu the Windmaster Druid to the ladder.
