Frost has been much improved...Currently doing pindle runs like none other...He shall live past me. I have put about 12 lvls on him and he is as safe as can be...he just can't kill too fast. It's prolly the weapon I have to use.

On the Gertrude front, I also couldn't open the file you sent back to me Wolron. It seems that people with more knowlege and experience on the ATMA front as at a loss, and I have been long since confused with this issue...Is the Doc still running around? Maybe he can shed some light...

Ahem... I never gave the go-ahead to start playing act 5, people. We still have 9 people who have not finished act 4. Until I give the go-ahead, everyone please take a breather.
 
Thanks Skunks, since yesterday was the original day to 'start' Act IV. Some of us barely got our act 4 chars. Mine will be done today, however.

Its not that I mind people going on, I just get confused with all the various acts people are talking about being in and finishing.

also, on Saturday Hoop76 had this comment:

It might be that the name change has caused the problem for my diablo and not for others. That might mean that someone else down the line will also have the same problem. Time will tell!



 
Wolron: It seems strange that you are having problems with the only character that has punctuation in the name and the only one that has been renamed. Perhaps one of those is the root of the problem. Did you try renaming the character and the file to just plain GertrudeStein? I'm not sure what else to suggest, given that the other characters have been fine.

As Sherlock Holmes would say, "HALLOA". It worked!!! {actually, Purplelocust should say that!} I renamed the file GertrudeStein and then went into ATMA and edited the name to agree. Then I went to Diablo and it worked.

Thanks Purplelocust! Now, Skunkbelly needs to assure me that I should (when he gives the all clear) play her. I am reasonably sure that he will since it would keep the tournament order pure.

Notley has finished Act4. Got to use an item or two from my stash I didn't think I'd have any use for. Leveled her up in order to use a particular weapon against Diablo. He went down without any trouble on /players 8... thank goodness for cold/open wounds/slow target. What a combo.

She shall soon be sent. Hope you like her more than Olga, billy.
 
Milosz is going to be a couple more days at least. I dont have a decent weapon i can use against D for another 6 or so levels. Either ill just take my time and keep goiong to town fighting him, or ill have to do some leveling.

I was wondering about that. Thought I'd missed something, with all these act 5 posts. Well, that and the fact that I didn't have my act 5 character yet.



 
Well i already sent Milosz, so Joebruce should be getting it. It went alot better than i thought it would. I guess its been a while since playing on players 1 in normal. Like i said i didnt have a decent weapon so i used the Hellforge hammer. It was faster and did more damage than my other weapon, but mainly used it for the 40% fire resist.
 
Barb received and Zon sent.

I will not be playing for several days, probably a week or so. Thanksgiving and whatnot. Happy holidays, enjoy good food, I know I will be.
 
Also received my next char(s). Will be a bit busy this week, mainly with kids off home from school (due to illness), but won't hold anyone back.

@ Wolron: glad to hear you got Gertrude Stein worked out. Yes, by all means, you should play her as originally scheduled.
 
Skunkbelly, who is visiting Wolron for Thanksgiving, says:

You may BEGIN ACT 5, if you have your character. But please do NOT send your act 5 character forward to the next player until we are certain that everyone has completed act 4.
 
I finished act 4 with Lowell, but forgot to sent him. :rolleyes:
I will do that this night when I come home.

This necro build is boring, but quite powerful in this part of game if properly built (I guess there will be no problems with this character for a long time)
