Burninated is still at it. Not much progress lately though. Realized that I forgot to actually hit the waypoints in both the Flayer Jungle and the Great Marsh last time I was out, so I had to go back and do that. I ran across Cleglaw's Claw, but I sold it because it was taking up valuable inventory space, and everyone's already got a squillion of them anyways. He's currenlty taking a break in Lower Kurast while I clean out my stash. On that note, I've got the following new items up for trade:

Nuts. Didn't quite make the 60 minute time limit for post editing, and now I have to make another.
Burninated has bashed Mephisto into dust, and is milling about in A4. I plan to run Meph the remaining 4 times when I wake up, or when I get home from work tomorrow. Nothing of value dropped, and the fight was easy. Only had to use 3 Greater healing potions on my merc, and nothing on me. Becuase I've got junk for MF, he dropped useless rares.

Eh, I don't have lots to do, so I'll sign up. Assigning 1-7 to the characters in order from left to right on the selection screen.

Rolled a 3... don't feel like being a necro, so next roll... got a 7. Druid for me!

Nemesis has been avenged.

A players7 Diablo was no match for Iconoclast this morning. I had to use a lot of healing potions but Iconoclast was never in any real danger. The Big D surrendered some crap items and a NICE pair of Light Plated Boots with +39 lite res, +30 poison res, and +19 magic find.

Other notable finds:

Steelclash Kite Shield...the perfect low lvl shield for a pally. +1 pally skils, good blocking, +15 res all, other useful mods. Very happy to find this.

Order Eye Amulet - When this dropped I was like, eh, a rare ammy, it will probably suck...but when I identified it I was pleasantly surprised...+22 life, +1 combat skills (pally only).

Coif of Glory Helm...A nice helm for its Hit Blinds Tgt property - I found that Hit Blinds Tgt works with Smite, and I used this little trick extensively all through act 4, where the monsters tend to swarm you. Blinded Venom Lords do not use their Inferno attack, and Blinded Oblivion Knights outside of the Chaos Sanctuary don't shoot elemental projectiles at you. Unfortunately, the Oblivion Knights in the Chaos Sanctuary cannot be blinded. Too bad...it would be nice to not have to worry about their dangerous curses, esp Iron Maiden. However, after I killed Diablo I switched this out for the next item:

Circlet - This was my Normal imbue...20% fcr, +53 mana, +8 energy, +4 max dmg, decent enhanced defense, and two sockets. This would have been great for a sorc (anyone want to trade?), but I figured that I could at least put the sockets to use. I stuck two normal topazes (all I had) into the circlet for 32% mf, and put it on my pally so he would not have to worry about mana again and get a decent boost to mf.

My damage output is not that great (still using the magic war scepter I bought back in the beginning of Act 3) but my merc's is just sickening. I gave him a rare halberd with 60% ed, +111% dmg to undead, and my Might skill is up there at lvl 11 or so, so he really whacks the hell out of pretty much everything he comes up against.

This char should make it to NM, barring some unforeseen stupidity.

The jungles of Act 3 are my least favorite place in Diablo. Brooklyn moved through them quickly and is now in the fourth act. I found a Maiden Javelin and had Charsi imbue it. It is a worthy addition to my equipment.

Brooklyn has maxed the Poison Javelin skill and will now work on Lightning Bolt.

Asha is now level 34 and at the City of the Damned waypoint. Things have been fairly easy up to this point. Had one close call with a champion pack of zombies somewhere in the jungles. The things might move slow, but they sure pack a punch.

If I can survive the Chaos Sanctuary, then I think I'll probably be able to make it to nightmare, unless I kill myself through stupidity.
 
Burninated finished running Meph. Despite my whopping 24% MF, he caughed up 3 set items and a unique in the remaining 4 runs. Not that any of these were good set/uniques, but at least he wasn't as cheap as he usually is for me.
I got Civerb's Ward, Cathan's Sigil, Isenhart's Case and Gleamscythe from him. Not too shabby. I also managed to get this great Circlet imbued from Charsi. She actually pulled through and didn't give me rubbish for once!

Well MartiX was defeated, somehow by posion on Andariel the second time killing her for items/exp.

I had a question... can you make another character once you have died, or is it just one character for everyone?

Normal difficulty completed!

I have to thank a normal monster in Halls of Vaught for dropping Spineripper , the unique Poignard. This baby has ridiculous damage (238% ed + some additional), 8% life steal, and incredibly fast attack speed. It also has +1 to necro skills, which I find odd b/c, ironically, a necro wouldn't really find the physical damage useful.

So Iconoclast spent the remainder of Act 5 running around in a psycho pose, stabbing every monster in sight faster than Jack the Ripper on stimulants. I liked this so much that I personalized the Spineripper, and even considering upgrading it to an elite item once I find the right runes. Before the fight with Baal I switched out Steelclash and replaced it with an Ancient's Pledge Crown Shield with +65-69 to all resistances (the shield already had good inherent resists on it). This will remain his shield for the duration of NM, hopefully it will help keep me alive.

No other real interesting items found, just some parts of sets that I am saving and some useless uniques and rares that I sold off. Baal's drop was very unkind. He dropped two sets, (Signon's Boots and Isenheart's Horns), but I already had both of these in my stash.

So Iconoclast moves on! Nightmare difficulty next...

:lol: I know what your talking about! I have been using Gull as my main attack weapon for more than a full act now. Pretty funny attacking 20 times in quick succession, and finally killing something. At least my merc has much more killing power than I do.
 
Sorry to see those that have lost their characters...but I see where some are moving ahead quite nicely.

Trig made it into Act IV. I started the game out at P3, moved up to P5 and went back to run the council and Meph at P8. I've received approx 12 set items and 11 uniques. Problem with the items are the amount of duplicates. I had one unique, Boneblade (I think), drop three times in a row. I find this a bit strange. I've one more run in Act III and then I will continue on to Diablo. I've maxed Fireball and after Firebolt, I was thinking of going for a larger radius in Static. (If I make it that far.) I think this would be more effective than going for a secondary skill in another element. Any thoughts?
 
sure, count me in... i am currently workign on a sorc for mfing in sc, so why not for hc? i rolled the first roll... 6! great! i couldnt believe my luck! i have to wait til i get home to make her (have to think of a name too)... i am thinking of going firebolt/fireball type... and something for a backup : / not sure what yet...

I regretfully have to inform you that I do not have the time to play in this tournament. RL is getting kinda busy. Considering there is a deadline I won't have the time to level her properly. :(
 
well, i found a skill planner off purediablo.com, and i am ganna go with this build...

with 20 pts in each skill... fireball does 758-860 dmg, ice blast does 657-692 w/ 6.8 second freeze duration... that is with no +skills items or anything like that...

with all skills maxed (only 5 in warmth, but inferno maxed) that is 106 points... i am definately ganna need a good merc! a2 holy freeze u think work?

and grrr, i cant wait to get home to play this char!
 
Brooklyn killed off Mephesto five times and then moved into fourth act and worked her way to Hephesto. Mephesto was nice enough to drop Cleglaw’s Pincers which gives a nice knockback and a bonus to attack rating. :uhhuh:
