Skillz Tournament: Get Ready To Play

I got a Sorc, which is great because I'm fond of them. IcePrincess is in the Stoney Field at L8. She seems to be quite the lucky gal. No green or gold yet. But the very first item to drop for her was a stick with +1 Warmth, +2 Ice Bolt, +3 Fire Bolt. Then she found this beauty in the Stoney Field:

Probably one of the nicest LL rings I've ever seen. Good thing too because it's the only ring so far.

As the name implies, she's going to specialize in Cold, specifically Ice Bolt (gonna stray from cold only for Static and Warmth). It gets synergies from both Ice Blast and Frost Nova, so hopefully it'll work out. Base energy and max blocking of course. So far so good. Playing P5, I chill 'em with Bolt then move in and beat 'em to death with my stick. Between that and throwing some javs, it's been no close calls so far.

I have 2 c skulls for whomever it was that was looking for them. I could use rubies, saphires or nothing in return. I also found this staff, free to a good home:

ive been doing fairly well, clegs gloves, bloodfist, deaths sash, and gorefoots, so im not really complaining, im level 21 (like | | from 22, and just got the cube) was too lazy to rerun andy, so ill prolly go back to kick her face a bit later, after i get some more mf, i have 59 mf right now :D so hopefully the stuff starts coming on heavy soon, good luck to you all
 
OK, I'm in too. I mulliganed a sorc, and ended up with a barb. It's been a long time since I played a barb. I think I'll try a mace barb, no particular reason.

SuzieQ has made it to the Hall of the Dead WP. I know it is an odd WP to stop at, but I'm getting tired and don't want to risk it. She is doing good. A little slow because I am letting my Defensive Act 2 merc to do most of the kills so he will catch up with me in level. Right now I am 20 and Zanarhi is 14. I've dropped it down to players 2 thinking it would not be too hard given there are two playing.

Andy was a piece of cake. She dropped me a few rares and a saphire. Radament was not all that hard either. My merc almost died because of the poison damage. The scarabs gave me a little trouble through the Rocky Wastes and Dry Hills.

Staticus finished off Act one today and went into act 2 where she defeated Radamant with no trouble besides having to quaff mana potions every five seconds. Andariel was nice enough to drop me four rare large sheilds and a Berserker's Headgear. Pretty useful thus far. I am kind of worried to carry on though because of the scarabs that do amesome amounts of damage but I will probably have my prayer merc do most of the tanking against them if I find I am overwhelmed. I must say though I have never had so many set drops in only the first act before. Guess my luck has finally kicked in. :)
 
@johnnybravo i sent the gloves to you, i hope it worked, but atm i need the gorefoots, hope you enjoy the gloves

ps. do you want a stag bow with
10% ias which makes very fast attack speed
like 12-16 dmg
and +1 bow / xbow skills

i dont know what kinda bow you have right now, so just thought id ask

KaleX the mauler is now in act3, after a 40 minute long, hard fought battle with the demi-demon duriel, during the fight, having about 30 NDE's, of course after this battle, he decided to drop nothing of any use to anyone

wheeeeeeee, did you know that those friggin' inferno shamans do alot of damage? dropped my almost 700 life to almost dead in like 3 seconds..... luckily i had 2 rows of full juves, for just such an occasion, then upon my return to town ormus was kind enough to sell me a tele staff, which im sure your all very jealous of ^.^

It´s not for sale until I have passed those darn poison cats and Plague Bearers in Lost City. Then I´ll see what I need. Most likely, 3-socketed Blade Talons or any good rare claw might interest me.

Trig is now at level 21 and resting in Act 2 after obtaining the cube. I've only found three set items and one unique (Biggins Bonnet). My second set item was the Arctic Furs. I had just muled away the Arctic Bindings. Not a real problem as I am wearing armor socketed with three flawed Topaz. 39% vs 40%

I nearly ended my quest on three seperate occassions when I forgot to switch the left mouse back to Fireball. Frozen armor...no matter how many times I click it...really does not help me when swarmed by Champions.

I've been playing at P3 and it seems relatively easy so far (when I have Fireball active). I am thinking of increasing it to P5...probably a decision I will regret.

@JohnnyBravo -- Thanks for the heads up on the orbs. I have a +3 F. Armor that is helping me out at the moment. Thanks anyway.

All right, I'm in on this too. I've been dying (no pun intended) for some tourney play ever since Nemesis kicked the bucket in the ABC tourney...I always thought that his life was ended unfairly and prematurely and he could have gone much farther...so I'm in this for some revenge, no doubt. Rest assured that I WILL kill Diablo the maximum 5 times when I get to him. :flip:

Rolled a zon to start, tried again hoping for a barb, but got a paladin instead. That'll work. I shall call him...Iconoclast.

SuzieQ is ready to enter the palace in Act2. I set it up to players 4 and my merc still dished out the damage. Only a few times was he in trouble. I missed the Sewers WP so I'll have to do that area again and I want to clear out the Lost City. I do the Claw Viper Temple first because I hate the dark.

I've been thinking about my skill points. MA is already up to 19. All allowable skills in the pasive magic tree has 1 point so far. If I max MA, 10 in CS (~56%), 8 in Dodge (~50%) and 12 in Avoid (~50%) I've used 50 skill points. Where am I gonna put the remaining 50??? I was thinking about maxing Inner Sight. It takes 615 off of monster defense... I think this would be helpfull.

Things have been going pretty easy so far. and I've been mulling off almost everything not knowing what you guys might need. Check out the link on my other posts I don't think I need to repost it again.

Okay, SliceNDice (the barbarian) is off and running. IIRC he is level 7 and has found nothing worth mentioning except for a pair of rare gloves (I don't recall what they do)

I plan on specializing in double throw and throwing weapons with some help from howl. I also will weapon switch to swords and doubleswing if/when I get mobbed.

Well, I'm going to run home now and rerun the first 2 areas (including side areas) of act one at players 8 for some relatively safe experience. Then, if I have time I'll also finish act one.
 
Asha is now level 21, and starting act 2. Got a new merc, then ran Andariel the allotted number of times.
