Simplified Chinese Language Diablo 2?

Good evening! My girlfriend recently expressed an interest in playing Diablo 2 with me (or at least putting up with it; bless her soul)! There's just one snag, English is her second language and Diablo is full of esoteric item words:

What part of your body does a casque go on?

Is that halberd on the ground a suitable weapon for my bowazon?

We've seen simplified Chinese videos on YouTube and know that there's a matching client out there. The search begins...

According to that page, Taiwanese MSRP is $30.68 USD (+shipping), with cheaper member, VIP member, and economical prices (site price, subscription price, and super duper subscription prices?). So there's at least one site that sells our game, though there may be better deals out there...

If she does use the Chinese client, will she be able to join games on USEast? Trade items with LAN play? Any other restrictions? I know that we have European posters with German/French/etc clients...

She will be able to join games on USEast I believe. She should also be able to trade with other people but do keep in mind that if she doesn't get used to the English wording of the items and such, she will deem it relatively difficult to communicate with the traders or in a party. The version of the language should provide no restrictions, just again, make sure that you speak to other people the language that they can speak, otherwise you might find it difficult to play with others. =]
