Simple Question

does anyone know how I can turn off the sound to diablo? That's all i want to do. The in-game settings only work for, well, when you're in games. So when im playing music and i exit out of a battle.net game I feel like an orchestra is trying to blast me out of my room. I wanna be able to listen to music while joining and leaving games without the usual "buuuuuuuuum buuuum bum bum!" scaring the crap outa me or distorting my music. Anyone know how to do this?

if you want no sound at all from the game then,

right click your shortcut, choose properties, click the shortcut tab

in the target line put -ns like in this screenshot:

then click accept and run the game from that shortcut.

you only get the crackle and roar from the blizzard/blizzard north screens and absolutely no sound in game or the menu

you can also add -skiptobnet to skip the blizzard screens and put you straight into the bnet log in screen so you never hear a thing

I wish there was a way to go back to the D2 Classic frontend rather than the LoD one, I'm so sick of that music.

It's been so long I don't even remember wat the D2 classic music is like. anyways, thanks a lot for the help guys. now there won't be any more peeing my pants when i exit out of a game and get blasted with a chrechendo of orchestra music. Hey flubble, are there any other cool shortcut alterations? I only know about the two you told me and the window mode one.
