Yeah,you guessed it.Poof.I've made four trades involving hr and I've had runes poof all four times before I could make my rune words.I've been doing the so-called temp perm method and didn't go in and out of a bunch of games.Bnet keeps pulling a cartman and kicking me square in the...Oh, never mind,rant over.That'll teach me to have my gear ready for the runes next time.I think I'll go eat some cheesy poofs now...:disappointed:

Yeah,that was my mistake.I was having a hard time finding the items to socket before the trades,so I just did the trades anyway.Big mistake.It's not going to happen again.I'm going to make sure I have the item ready from now on.

I normally just traded for the runes, xfer'd them to a mule/perm, and never went back to the mule until I was ready to make a runeword.

Yeah, tough luck dude. I've never had a rune poof on me yet, and I've joined around 20 or so games with the same rune in my inventory without it poofing. Guess you can call me lucky :tongue:

Get the socketable you want to build whatever in.

Then ONLY trade for the HRS you next need and put them in the socketable right then and there.

They won't poof if you socket them. At least they never have for me. Maybe a rust storm will get them someday. But meh...

Doubt a full rust storm will be activated any time soon. It'd most likely be near a ladder reset or something, and I can imagine that that won't happen for a while.

I had 2 berber perfect CoA's poof on me in the last 2 weeks, each brought with 60 hrs worth of stuff including legit pcombats and over 20 organsets

Wasn't it obvious that these CoAs were dupes ? So you had to be prepared for their poofing anytime soon...

Find/cube them yourself. Of course, that would involve a lot of luck and extreme amounts of time. If you want to play with the high end runewords within your lifetime, you have to trade. Can't have the best of both worlds.

If you want to duel (and be competitive), then you pretty have to deal in dupes. If you want to stay clean, then you won't be able to duel competitively. It's one or the other; you can't have both at the same time.
