Scepter of the Magus?

Hey, i'm trying to shop a "Scepter of the Magus" from Akara (through Cow Portal), yet after having seen countless "of the Apprentice" ones and not even a single "of the Magus" one i'm having a sneaking suspicion Arreat Summit is wrong:

Apprentice 10% Faster Cast Rate Amulets(5), Circlets(5), Orbs(5), Rings(5), Rods(5)
Magus 20% Faster Cast Rate Circlets(29), Orbs(29), Rods(29)

In fact now that i think about it, i can't remember a Scepter with 20% FCR on it ever. (Shopped about 500 times btw)
Anyone who knows for certain? Thanks.

I have noticed the Prefixes/Suffixes lists on Arreat Summit seems to be one section that has several errors/inaccuracies.

In this case, since they omitted it from both FCR suffixes, I would guess they meant to say "Wands" instead of "Rods".


I can't confirm anything for certain though, but the affix calculator is probably/possibly correct.

That seems to make sense when "Rods" was meant to say "Wands" instead. Thank you.
Is there maybe a thread out there detailing what errors/inaccuracies there are in that Arreat Summit section?

'Rods' is a collective term for 'Wands, Staves and Orbs'.

"Rod" was the collective term for "Scepters, Staves and Wands" before Orbs even existed in the game

Anyway, the reason Scepters can not get "of the Magus" anymore is because the Expansion version of that mod specifically excludes Scepters. Staves and Wands can still get it.

Well, i have another question and this might be a little more difficult to answer.

I was checking out the affix calculator and it says that a Scepter (a Scepter with the name Scepter) has an affix level of 50 at item level 51. I presume this is correct? Also, if i wanted to imbue Scepters resulting in item level 51 ones, then at what character level should i be at?

Ah, thanks, hmmm might be an idea to shop white scepters from Anya and quickly level characters to 47 to imbue in Normal and Nightmare difficulty. Although the odds of imbuing something useful is, well, dreadful, lol.

Lets see, the odds to get a Priest's prefix is 2:295, and then hoping it has some good staffmods too, pretty much yikes. (Let alone it having of the apprentice suffix and/or Mechanics prefix which happens to be 2 instead of 1 sox)
