So umm, running 2 instances of diablo (in b.net ofc) with say, sandboxie isn't permitted, but using userswitching is?
Oh and does this work in craptastic vista?
Me said:Yeah.
Step 1 Install D2 installation A.
Step 2 Rename Installation A and install the B
Step 3 make shortcuts of both. Install sandboxie (google it)
Step 4 make sure the shortcuts have -w on their target line.
Step 5 Run first one like usual, but run the second one sandboxed.
Step 6 ????
Step 7 Profit!
There is no real way Blizz could ban you for using sandboxie, because it shows up on them exactly like you had another comp in your home network and because you are not toying with the game files, they wouldn't even have the right to do so.
Don't need to use a VM if you can use fast user switching.
To set IP address manually right click 'My Network Places' choose your connection you want to use, then right click it.
Choose status, then go to the support tab.
Click Details under connection status, then move this to the side of the screen .
After this go back to the connection you chose, then right click it and choose properties this time.
Scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), while it's highlighted choose properties (or you can double click it).
Click the 'Use the following IP address' radio button and type the information in from the connection details you have up, then click 'OK' and you're done.
I'm really bad at typing up guides, but I hope you get this one .
Sorry for bumping this thread.
Anyone know of a Sandboxie-like program for Mac or an effective way to run Diablo twice in one Mac OS X computer?
