Sigh, back to back characters on here :sad2: . Well as the KTA thread says, Tasty went out Mr Creosote style to a Fire Enchanted Ventor. He went pop and so did I. Thankfully all the gear was looted and a rebuild is on the way.

Didn't notice Stormtree was FE as well as LE. Got hit by a lightning bolt, juved then got hit by several more in rapid succession.
~1700hp and dead in less than 1/2 a second...stupid FE bug.

/me remembers to read ALL the mods in unique monster descriptions before engaging :dunce:

Those dang beetles on my way to killing duriel for the first time...my first hardcore death. Funny I was just thinking earlier today that if anything was going to kill me it would be those beetles.

Death type: WSK, lvl4, strafing away when a doll appeared from behind a pillar. I couldn't run because of strafe-lock and the doll was close enough to kill when it popped.

This was a base vitality build, with less than 400 life. The irony of this is that having gotten half way through hell act 3, I thought this char could help another one first drop NM baal. On only the 3rd or 4th run, this happened. I've hel'ed the buri, so even more points can go into dex on the rebuild. Doubt I'll be able to do pure dex, with base str and vit, but I know what the end gear will be, so can plan much more accurately than this build.

Gotta love hardcore :-)

Was helping a friend get anya quest done, we were killing stuff hella fast and i decided to dim vision and teleport into a ****load of mobs. bad idea. hehe. i think i was too close for DV to be effective.. anyways health dropped down to nothing before i could even pop any more juvies.

first hc death but at least i got my gear back so im not too worried about it. did lose a r/w3 all res+6 small charm though and i just found it today :cry:

going to take a big motivator for me to get to leveling again tho.. :tongue:

I had just reached nm and wanted to go to act2 now. A friendly (...) lvl 86 sorceress offered to take me through andy (name forgotten, but ended with _PL so i guess she is polish). She teled there, made tp, cleared the anteroom. The sorc cast an extra blizzard near where i was, i wondered for a split sec "hm, no monsters here", then bammm hostile and im dead.
I suppose, she teled into the adjacent room, near the entry to lvl4, and launched her tppk cheat. Well, better learn this at low level than at 8x! :-/

First HC character, attacked a LE boss and whacked away just a little too long. I think a melee char was a little ambitious for my first HC, I'm going with a summonancer next.

Was fighting 4 of the yeti type monsters, one was cursed and physical immune. Holy Freeze Merc and Maxed Grizzly were tying them up nicely while I plinked away with Witchwild String from half a screen away. Already hit with amp damage curse.. figured i was safe.

In the chaos the leader and one of his bullys disaapeared. Healed merc, helped with other, then leader and buddy appear out of nowhere. Six hits each in a matter of seconds and I have deeds.

Unable to loot... was my rush character to get my lower levels boss help and waypoints. RIP Beasthowler.

Fighting champion tree looking guys in act 3 solo. I was also chatting with my girlfriend which doesn't help. basically i had no FHR and kept gettig locked into recovery animation and fail at save and exit.
