Cause of demise: I assume it was IM from an OK. I took 1 vengeance swing and died. It's been awhile since I played Paladin, but I thought Vengeance had no physical component to it, but looking again it only "adds elemental damage". I guess he got the IM off at the moment I took my swing because I didn't have it on when I moved towards him. And I've learned that Vengeance is not a safe way to deal with OKs anymore.

Cause of demise: This happened a month ago but I fiured I’d post anyway. I had just come back to D2 after boredom of WoW. Last time I played regularly was before Xpack so I had never heard of TPPK and had no idea of the threat. Was in a pub “baal†game totally oblivious to the danger standing completely still. BLAM I’m dead there is a scripted middle finger and I’m wondering WTF happened. After researching on the internetz I educated myself and restarted. Lesson learned.

Was merrily cleaning out the Pits, teleporting along, rounded a corner and saw a pack of Fanaticism Carvers and instead of stopping (i was half a screen away from them) for some dumb reason i tele-ed right into the middle of em! With plenty of time to react (first hit was just above half-life) I just wigged out and didn't fulljuve straight away and just got slapped! With 1326 life I couldnt believe it when i saw deeds...just found a 14% Nightwings off of Diablo moments before as well...most annoyed...:unimpressed: :dunce: :dizzy: :thumbsdown:

Yes, not a high level char, but it was my first char in hc ladder and was enjoying a lot by playing it. I was leveling up making tristam runs in nightmare before starting act2, and making some andy runs for items with crappy gear. I was listening to the radio, thinking on my angry girlfriend and some other things, and I didn't notice I was too close to griswold when my skellies owned him and I was killed by it's corpse explosion.

Basically, a bad spawn right on top of the crystalline passage WP while trying to do my Hell Anya quest, it was a FE/CE/ES assailant boss and all his minions that diced me to pieces before I could react. My friends were around so they looted my kira's guardian, lionheart, buriza, etc, and gave me an e-hug The irony is that I invested all my trading towards building up my resistances to max in Hell, and I got killed by phys damage

Doin some baal runs with my buddy mike and i finished teleporting to baal so i came to help him out in chaos, i took the right and he took the left, after i finished off that fire dude, i cant even remember his name all i do is cast hammers till hes dead, i teled up torwards lord deseis, Mike hits the seal and his minions converge on me, Deseis casts amp damage and his minions attack simultaneously, i was leaning back in my chair relaxing (this is something i do all the time so i wasnt afraid of dying) When i saw my life bar go from 4k to 100 i almost crapped myself, i reached for a juv and missed the button, next shot from his minions took me out, Lost almost nothing though, got a new anni and a new torch and in two days my new pally is level 92, currently leveling on the realms

Flayer Shaman got me as he had Lightning Enchant (Fire was 75 but Light was 17 :shocked: ), i figured my leech would cover it, life was yo-yoing but this death was just plain stupid...if i'd have just juved I would have had that character uber-ready as i needed just one more level for Drac's gloves and my mate was questing me in Hell for exp and relevant bonuses...had a lovely rare Sacred Targe and a Stormshield in his stash which is a sore loss but at least that was the only gear loss he would have been using against the ubers...might as well get a HoZ for him now!

Icey doing nm baal runs with my zon started to feel too comfortable. Doll spawned and my zon almost bit it from strafe lock and first contact with the dolls. I told him to be careful. He ended up too close to my valk when she 1 shot a doll (maybe 2 he wasn’t on my screen) and he died. This was his first HC char of decent level and I don’t think he took it well. He left without letting me loot and said “I’m done was fun while it lasted”. I guess you either have the “Hardcore bug” or you don’t.

Kind of stunned right now. Since i restarted playing I joined exactly two public hell games (admittedly both because I really needed some help due to weak or single-element chars) and each resulted in the cheezy death of that char through some script.
In the case of this sorc, I had given loot to two guys, but the filthy (rich) PK didn't even bother keep it for himself while the other was too scared to leave town after my demise.
