Ridiculus temp-ban!

I logged on to d2 this morning at 8, made a mule, switch charakter twice.. Been banned since that^^ how long can those bans be? before ive had bans for like 30min or an hour, will this last for days?:P

its the "Your connection has temporarely been restricted from this realm, Please try to log on at another time" type of ban..

Someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong but i beleive that temp bans can last anything from 2 mins to 2 days. I have also seen a post stating that if you continually try to reconnect while under a temp ban your temp ban 'timer' will reset and you will be offline longer as a result.

Best advice, give it an hour or two before trying to reconnect.

think ive waited about 1.5 hours the most.. ill go for 2 now then^^ ty for reply!

actually i think the myth if you try to log in alot it resets is false. I believe some guy spammed his login when he got temp banned to test it out and he got in, in not to long

I have experienced this type of "ban" about 2 times in the last 1 month.

The 2nd time just a few days back. In both cases, I will try to log in 2-3 times but receive the ban message.

I will then exit the Diablo game. Re start the game & log in again. I successfully log in.

I had a great one yesterday .
Logged in for the first time , decided to MF run , had a real big lag spike , came out of the game , took me to the char selection and up popped , you have been temporarily banned from this realm etc . I think the system needs a tweak :P

God, temp-bans are so annoying.. Lost much items already while muling x) That's why I always mule with friends these days..

I usually restart my pc when I get a temp-ban, and after it's gone..

Luckely i got banned right after exiting the mulegame when the mule was complete:P

.....perhaps at 08:00 - 08:30 tomorrow ill be able to log back on^^.....

If you have 2 Network cards on your computer, you could try putting the cable to second card. I have to do that sometimes, when I got temp bans and it helps, because it changes my ip :)

Only way i can change my ip is to plug my cord directly into the modem, but now the entire family is home, and they all want internet:P so router it is hehe..

Can't you restart your modem or request a new IP to your service provider?


P.S. It's not because someone once tried to log in repeatedly and get logged in fast, that it doesn't lengthen the ban. I don't think it will reset though it could lengthen it slightly. That test can't prove anything as he might have been logged in much faster without to attempts.

I have to release my current IP, wait for it to be taken by sum1 else, THEN ill get new 1^^ and chances of sum1 getting my old IP is rather slim. :P

ive been banned 11 hours now.

ban me 1 hour ok i get the point.. but 11 hours? payed hard bucks for this game wtf.

Everytime I got a Temp ban, I just unplugged and replugged my router to reset my ip address. If you are playing the game at home, then you should be able to do the same since most of residential's ip addresses are Dynamic ones.

I must be rather lucky. I have had the temp a few times now (say4-5) and it never lasts more than 2-3mins. Got banned while half way through muling, had just dropped items on ground and exited to get mule char and BAM, the ban was over before the game poofed. YAY.
