Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Can you get a +3 shapeshift club for aid in shapeshifting instead of dual spirit?

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

I suppose .

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Buriza is no longer immune to IM just so you know.

Aww, that sucks. Ok, in cases in which I am im'ed, I'll go Hungry and rush towards, not necessarily hitting, the nearest oblivion knight.

Oh well, 'Riza goes back to multizon.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Thanks for posting this great build. I have used much of what was posted here to build my Ribby Fury Wolf. I just have a few questions on some of the last tweaks...my current equip is as follows:

Upped Ribby 287% ED
COH
Dracs
Goreriders
Jalals (Perfect!)
Metalgrid (only two more lvls to use it!)
Ravenfrost
Verdungo's
Anni
Torch
Random charms

I got three questions:
1) I am planning on maxing WW, Lycan, Feral Rage & Fury. Do I try to max Oak Sage or HOW? I know it is a preference thing of life over damage, but I want to use this char for PvM in Hell, not just doing the Ubers. I know each will get killed easily in Uber Trist, but will Oak Sage die just as easily in Hell making me want to choose HOW? Should I throw in a few points into Cyclone Armor? How effenctive is this skill in Hell?

2) If money/wealth was not an issue, whould you socket the Ribby with a Shael or +40% ED/+15% IAS Jewel?

3) If money/wealth was not an issue, what would you socket into Jalals? Also, does anyone know what the defense goes to for upping Jalals?

Any help you oculd provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

#1 I took HOW because of two things: Having the same amount of life at all times means i know my character better - having Oak Sage suddenly die leaving me with half the life (Loosing life at double the rate) can come as a shock to me. Secondly, with a little life-steal, my only problem in the rest of hell is hitting - never, or at least rarely, is life a problem.

#2 Since Shael and 40ED/15IAS both boost the attack speed to the same framerates, 40ED/15IAS is to prefer.

#3 Blaah - dunno, sorry.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

40/15s don't exist as an item drop in 1.12, so i dont rely on such 1.09 holdovers.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Thanks for the help...I couldn't decipher an answer out of the other posts in this build whether or not the Shael or IAS Jewel got the Fury to the same breakpoint.

My Jalal's question was basically, me being lazy...I have the runes to Upp it, I just can't do it until I get off of work! I am probably going to go with the 15% Res All jewell with a secon mod...whatever I can get cheap.

Thanks for the help!

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

That's a good socketing option. If you somehow manage to not need resists you have a wide array of options. You can use anything from a P ruby for more life to Ber rune for %DR.

Cyclone Armor is useless for a Wolf. It gets wiped out very quickly and you can't recast it when shapeshifted.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Thanks for all of the input so far...now for another question.

I have a few SS Grand Charms, and am currently on a mission to trade for a few more. What second mod should I be targeting to put together the best character I can? I notice that Bjam uses charms with life as a second mod...are FHR useful or some stats? I have seen a few out there with STR or DEX as the second mod, and I am not really sure if it is helpful to go that route.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Life is normally the way to go. If you don't hit 48FHR with your gear than you could gt a charm with FHR to help reach that

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

-_- 86 then

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

86 while lofty...is still doable...50% from Ribby & 10% from Verdungoes goes a long way.

Thanks for the help...I just found the FHR Formulas in the Arhcive

Do you think shooting for the 3 frame FHR is overkill? I currently have 65% with Ribby, Verdungoes and 1 SC.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Depends, if you can hit it without sacrificing much it's a good goal. However, it won't kill you not to have it.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Jalal's gives 30% FHR, so with Ribby and Verdungoes you're all set. Even if you decide to use something other than Verdungoes you still need just one large or grand charm with an FHR 2nd mod to hit 86% so it would be silly not to do it.

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

My druid's stuff, don't care about pvp, eventually I want to try taking ubers on him.
Lvl 87.

Gear:
Perf ebotdz/ shaeled SS
DS COH
Shaeled Jalal's
Highlords Wrath or Angelic Ammy/Also have a Metalgrid but I don't use it often.
Raven Frost/BK or Angelic Ring
Dracs/ Thinking about Soul drainers
38/14 Dungo's
Gore Rider's
27% fhr from sc's+1gc

Stats:
I think I put about 90 into dex and 20 into str, rest into vit. He has about 7.2k with bo's, oak, and Werewolf.

Skills:
Maxed: Werewolf, Lycanthropy, Fury, Oak sage
Feral Rage(15), Rabies(1), Raven(1), Spirit wolf(1)
(heading towards getting 1 pt in grizzly and after that 1pt in poison creeper)

I was wondering if I should look for a new weapon/shield combo or 2h.
The only viable option i see is Ribcracker, but as I'm on NL and can't up the ones i find I'm SoL there. I would prefer a upped shaeled noneth one.
Using Ribcracker would free up some FHR so I could put an um or ED jewel in the Jalal's.
Is Edc really that good? I can't see it being better than a ebotdz for some reason..
Also what is recommended for dealing with physical immunes?

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

You'd have to take off Jalal's f you're going to use BotD. You NEED loads of CB in order to take down Ubers.

Dracs >>>>>>> Soul Drainers

And... did you read the guide?

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Yes I've read the guide... but as I don't have an upped ribcracker I changed the gear around to fit the items I do have access to.

Did you read the 2nd half of my post?

Re: Ribcracker Fury Druid - Uber Killer Guide

Did you read my response? If you go without Ribby you'll have to make more substantial gear changes than that. Guil instead of Jalal, etc. Dracs >>>> Drainer (you said you were thinking about switching). EDC is a good weapon, but not for Ubers. And there's countless topics on dealing with PIs.

In closing: as your Wolf is you won't be doing Ubers.
