Respec=you will delete chars?

Im thinking seriously I would delete a lot of my dusty chars(and eventually accounts) as a respec means I can just alter the skills if I want and it will takeout the tedium of refreshing them.Does anyone else who has like 3+ accounts think they will do this?

Whoa there - what are you thinking, my good man? They're permed mules for it4mz sakes! :crazyeyes: Give them to me if you think you have too many before thinking of such blasphemies. Too many characters, what a bizarre idea. And to think of deleting your loyal friends of hours past, right under Santa's nose no less! Do you think you'll have many shinies for presents if you do this? Even if you do, where will you store them? That's right, on new mules that cannot enter Hell games and which it will take ages to perm in constantly dropping Norm games. Such is the fate of those who go against their nature and pretend to want to have less mules and items. :yes::yes::yes: :wink:

Edit: Where the fudge are my Christmas smilies? This does not reflect well on the site's future; Santa's lawyers may have to pay us a visit... It is obligatory to have at least a reindeer smiley, x-mas tree smiley and a Santa smiley, complete with jingle-sounds and ho-ho-ho's for the annoyment and enjoyment of fellow forum members. :rant:

I'm not going to delete my "extra" chars. If nothing else, they're permed item mules as mentioned before.

Besides, say I want to play a zealot, then go play a hammerdin. It's much faster to just log off, switch chars, then log back on than to have to respec the zealot, reassign all his stats/skills and finally switch his gear to hammerdin gear.

I think I'll just use respec for fixing accidental skill/stat errors or to reassign stats in case I happen to find better gear that provides better stat bonuses.

When, in April, the patch and it's subsequent ladder reset was "around the corner" I went on my old characters and died with them in funny ways (I play HC). For someone who plays for competition only, non-ladder is as fruitless as a celery leaf.

Too bad the special event doesn't also grant the ability to change character class, that can eliminate the need to even create more than one character.

I sense a frail trace of sarcasm wafting off your words; pardon me if I'm wrong, as I at least once a year am liable to be. As Meta-Gamer Of The Year and a proud owner of that title, I would welcome such a change with open arms. Perhaps Malah could have an operation table in her shop and charge a nominal fee for, well, rearranging your organs as befits the current whim, trend, fad, etc. Just make sure she keeps those *precious* parts safely in store... :wink:

Or even better, change the name of the character. Then your lvl95 xXxHaMmErXxX can be remade into a zealer and doesn't have to stick with a cheesy name.

My dream would be the ability to move chars between accs and preferably also rename them. I have two lvl99's from 1.09 on an old acc, with an old 'clan prefix' and on an account I don't use. Would love to have them on my current acc.

I know, I once had a Fireball sorc named ChargedStrike. :crazyeyes:
But yeah, I'd love to be able to change names anyway. Because clan tags from 7 years ago feel outdated.

Well I dont play enough to have the number of accounts I have and would rather have PvP chars set up and then justa few chars for PvM.I dont want to have tons of mules,when I was playing more regular my accounts naturally got refreshed but now its just a pain.

when i was into collecting junk from my mfing, i had upto 6 mule accounts. nothing worth keeping, but nice items never the less.

how many chars would i have?

1 for pvm lighting sorc with infi merc
1 to bo my sorc ( dual login )
1 for pvp.

and a lot of mules
