Rerolling normal maps?

What is the consensus on rerolling normal maps?

It's not possible by changing difficulties as you haven't done normal yet, but it's possible by creating TCP/IP game with your character and S&E.

So is that permissible by the forum rules?

Yes, that's the standard way to reroll normal maps.

Sometimes I create a character over and over again until he has a good map for shopping Charsi. Sometimes this takes 20 minutes. Way longer than it takes to shop a 3s Ring Mail from Charsi. wakiki is an imbecile sometimes.

And yeah, your method is fine.

I do the same wakiki. Depending on characters: Druid, barbarian, amazon and assasin I want the camp exit to be between Gheed and Charsi, for others between Charsi and Akara; the buying of 2os helms from Gheed is more cumbersom, but trying to get +3 Shiver Armor staff is easier. For all I want to reroll the Lut Gholein map for exit near Drognan.

Then for personal reason I want to reroll maps when I stop questing between wps. For example yesterday I started from Outer Cloister and got almost to third Jail level when I quit. So I want to reroll the map so that I don't know the layout from Jail 1 forward.

That's why I asked and as it seems ok that'll be what I do.
