Reminded why i like SP Forum

I was bored today and decided to have a bit of a look around the other forums. Nothing has changed, unfortunately. Thank you to all you folk of the SP forum for your respect and general comradery with myself and each other:thumbup:

Disclaimer: No, I'm not slagging the other forums or trying to cause a bun fight. I'm just saying that the people here are more considerate and generally a much nicer bunch.

^^ QFT, the people here are infinitely better and more mature than many of the groups of RL people that I've unfortunately been stuck working or associating with over the years. Seriously. It's a relief to come to a place where you always know there will be intelligent conversation, laughs and ideas shared with people who genuinely cheer each other on in playing the game and recognizing accomplishments. We're almost like the Borg from Star Trek, everyone contributes to the collective consciousness and mindset that permeates the SPF. After all, resistance is futile, right? (Points to those that appreciate that reference).

And btw, if that's not a typo, then what the heck is a bun fight?

Borg are evil.

I almost never visit other forums of this site. Too much eBotD talk. As a diablo player I grew up in a forum where there was no trading for items that might have been duped. And in other forums in this site theres nothing but eBotD's and Beast's and CoH's etc...

Also people are nice here. At least in part thanks to the Mods :wink:

Personally, I'd consider a "bun-fight" to be a ridiculous or petty argument in a quite formal setting. Apparently, the legendary P.G.Wodehouse coined the phrase.

A bun fight i suppose is the equivalent of "Stirring up a hornets nest" or trying to start an argument
