steel (tir el) is cheap and easy. I suggest Malice as well .. ITh el eth .. 100% open wounds.. yummy.. however it drains life.. worth it if you have replenish to negate this effect.

27 is the magic number. You can use Honor now (amn el ith tir sol).
+160% Enhanced Damage
+9 To Minimum Damage
+9 To Maximum Damage
25% Deadly Strike
+250 To Attack Rating
+1 to All Skills
7% Life Stolen Per Hit
Replenish Life +10
+10 To Strength
+1 To Light Radius
+2 To Mana After Each Kill
It has everything you want except ias, so you'll want to put it in the fastest possible weapon you can find.
I'd use 'Strength' (amn tir) for bosses due to the CB it offers.
Here you can find runeword wizard (list of all runes and runewords sorted by runes used, items needed etc.) and ASToGo (list of runewords and uniques).

...you also have black ( thul io nef) KB is a flaw and a help but it has CB and ias another is kings grace ( amn ral thul) for dmg to monster types.. Black is prolly best bet though for CB. Honor Like above is pretty decent too.
There is insight (on merc). You might need that if you are going to WW since WW eats lots of mana.
Atm I am using Honor, Insight (merc) and Malice on my WW Baba (about lvl 57). Works pretty good so far. Life leech makes the health loss by Malice insignificant, imho.
There's just no way I can afford the really good offensive RW's yet, so this will do for the time being... I do carry a pair of Goblin Toes in my stash for boss battles. Crushing Blow good :badteeth:

Dunno why everyone keeps calling Insight a Merc weapon- it makes a pretty awesome character weapon, too. I mean, name another weapon with a slvl 27 requirement that offers *260% ED* and 46% critical strike (more if you have +skills).
Seriously, if you factor in the Critical Strike, a perfect Insight will deal as much damage as a weapon with 425% ED. For real. Sure, it doesn't offer any IAS, but with a slvl 27 requirement and essentially 425% ED, does it really need any?

Don't forget that the Critical Strike skill adds directly to the Critical Strike on any weapon Mastery skill. A 66%+ chance for double damage from skills alone... not too shabby, if you ask me.

If I could afford the runes... aye
Was aiming for an Oath Ettin Axe though, assuming I can find one with 4 sox before I get loaded enough to afford the runes :badteeth:... what would make the small crescent a better choice? (My honor is in a sup ettin so I already meet the str requirements)
Are you sure? I was under the impression that Critical Strike from Mastery stacked directly with Insight's Critical Strike, and indirectly with Deadly Strike.
Sry i misread, Critical strike and deadly strike indirectly the other stack directly.
Critical and deadly don't stack at all btw. You roll for one first then for the other but if you get deadly or critical then you can't get the other at the same time.
