Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

His target usually liked a bit of early morning exercise. Normally that was running on the trails outdoors but the current situation restricted his target to the retreat itself. So his target had taken to climbing up and down the stairs.

The plan to kill him had been to remove the wet floor caution signs and let him tumble down the stairs to his death. But tonight his target was ushered along a different path by a second man with a stethoscope around his neck. Looks like he was going to have to improvise. He cut them off at hallway intersection up ahead and fired multiple times into his target. But just as he was about to finish the job, a few people alerted by the sound of gunfire had rushed forward. Not wanting to reveal his identity just yet, he was forced to make a hasty retreat from the scene.

It is now DAYTIME.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

We have been informed that we have a doctor, by the looks of things. Interesting.

To business, then.

Vote: Technomancer

Playing below the radar, very mafiaesque tells, non-contributive except for some interesting, but ultimately diverting, theories. A low risk, high likelihood lynch target.

http://wikiguides.neoseeker.com/wiki/The_Mafia_Game/Roles#Traitor

A traitor is a mafia-aligned player that cannot communicate with the other mafia players outside of the thread, as they don’t know that they are aligned with them. The traitor knows the other mafia members and wins if the mafia wins. If mafia recruitment is allowed, they can be recruited at night and when they are, they become a normal mafia goon. If investigated, the traitor comes up town-aligned until they are recruited.

Also a mafia Cop. Hmm - that was a frustrating role for Noodle to play, but I've no sympathy for him, I find him frustrating every game :)

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Can you justify the "hitman" tag?
I consider Asrrin a high-risk lynch, his role could be pro-town. Unless you can demonstrate otherwise?

Hitman.

That must mean you presume Ivan was the NK target? I'm a watcher and I targeted Ivan and I saw Asrrin visit him.

Which assuming Ivan was the target could mean he is the doc that saved him.

To echo Loz, how do you get to hitman?

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Yes, I believe Ivan to be the target. I saw two people target him last night.

One was Asrrin. The other person was the same person I watched over night 1. That person targeted his-self on night 1.

I can't come up with a reason for a mafia hitman to target him-self, so I presume he is the doctor. That leaves Asrrin as the hitman.

Only thing I can't account for is why TC isn't dead from the night two target. Unless, as a watcher, I only have a chance to see more than one person visiting, which could explain why Sathoris only saw Asrrin.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

The logic is sound. The balance of probabilities suggest that CG is telling the truth and that Asrrin is the hitman.

Anyone see a flaw in this?

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Mind you I'm not a full watcher role. For one it's a twoshot ability. I have one other abiltity aswell with limited shots.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

I don't know if there's a chance that you see more than one person. If we lynch Asrrin and he comes up as mafia than TC being targeted and surviving could be due to another PR ability.

My other ability is a counter to some other abilities that I think are still unknown to us.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

It just hit me. The bus driver. If Gorny targeted him-self and the second person I saw, then that would've deflected the mafia hit back upon itself.

This accounts for why nobody died on night one.

This accounts for why TC isn't dead on night 2.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Feysal died at the end of day one. Either that was from a day kill ability from someone (?) or a night 1 ability, which is more likely.

Gorny got modkilled on day one. He couldn't have any action for Night two.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

I'm talking about night one actions, before Gorny got mod-killed. (I prefer to call it night 0, though nobody so far has referred to it as such through out this thread)

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

You'll need to clarify.

So by night 1 you mean the second night? A night which saw Laarz and Leo die

You saw someone target themselves on night 1. That same person targeted Ivan on night 5 (last night). We also saw Asrrin targeting Ivan tonight. So that first person is likely to be the doctor because we didn't have a kill.

Night 2 being night 3 where nobody died but Asrrin targeted TC. If there's a chance of seeing more than one person by watching someone that would mean the doc could've saved TC, a likely target aswell. Explaning the no kill.

Or Asrrin is the doc and saved TC and Ivan on those nights. That would imply the other person is the hitman for this night. But what abilities could the mafia have that they'd use on themselves.

I'm afraid that my second abilty is a counter to some abilities that can screw our logic over bad. I'll probably reveal it later since it's a one shot anyway and after that I'll be a VT anyway so an NK on me is useless.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Night 0: Start of game. I see someone targeting themselves. Nobody is killed.

Day 1: Feysal gets poisoned, dies.

Night 1: Leo goes missing, Laarz is dead. This is the night Asrrin targeted TC.

etc, etc.

I'm saying that if on night 0, before we ever had any day phase, the mafia place a hit on someone. Gorny just happens to luckily switch that person with the hitman, resulting in me seeing someone targeting them-self, and since mafia targets aren't legal target for NKs, it's invalid.

It's the only thing that makes sense right now, unless there's some other evidence that someone can present.

Unvote: Asrrin

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Hmm, mafia are valid NK targets if they get switched. A godfather however is often NK immune and any mafia member can usually function as hitman.

So what is possible is that the person you saw targetting themselves is the mafia godfather being switched with his own target so he's effectivly targeting himself with the NK, but survives because he's the godfather.

This same person is seen targeting Ivan last night. Along with Asrrin who has been known to target TC without killing TC. TC was a possible NK target after claiming so he's also a probable doc target.

I can tell you my other ability is a manipulation ignore. Which means the person I target can't be roleblocked, switched, redirected, or mimicked. This could be one of the things that happened to the person you saw targeting himself on N0(1).

So either that guy is the mafia godfather (NK immune) or he's the doc. Clearing or damning Asrrin whichever way he flips.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Dont have much time as I am not at my home (mem day weekend) but will try to post as much as I can. To say the least I am pleased with the result of Noodles lynch. As I didnt expect to take the blame if he was pro-town, I am not expecting a clear path for him being the mafia traitor as I didnt know I was doing the locking vote. I have to assume he had been recruited or he would have shown up as pro-town wouldnt he? I have no idea

Vote: Ankeli

Has to be dirty. Has played dirty the entire game and I dont believe him to be town. I think his alignment will also reveal wether asrrin is dirty or not as they have been sparring the last couple of days. Ankeli loves his tunnel vision

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Pretty good analysis, Sathoris. As soon as CG mentioned a self-target on the first night, I felt there were two choices, it was a cop or it was a bus-drivered Godfather. We know Asrrin wasn't the Cop so ...

But we may or may not have all the facts. This is why I consider Asrrin to be high risk as a lynch, he can flip either Godfather or Doc. There are others I consider to be safer lynch candidates.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Bad Ash, you are proposing what I consider to be a two-step journey to a Town loss.

Scenario One: We lynch Ankeli, who flips town. We lynch Asrrin, who may or may not prove mafia. Town lose.
Scenario Two: Ankeli proves mafia, clears Asrrin and clears you as well. With you and Asrrin "cleared", we are likely to lose.

BA just became my sure-fire lynch candidate (after Technomancer).
