Quick question for any sorc's out there.

Lightning sorc on NM, having to choose between these two items... my resistances are a fair tad below 0 <keep in mind.

Stealth. When you see Gloams & Burning Souls, be careful to not get hit very much. When you see a Fire Enchanted boss, be careful not to stand next to it when it dies.

With those exceptions, the elemental damage you face will be pretty low until you get into Hell, and the Stealth's FCR and FHR are worth more than +10 resists (everything else on darkglow is junk for you) the other 99% of the time.


By the way, if you have a chance to get Skin of the Vipermagi, get it. It's end-game worthy, and quite cheap too.

Vipermagi is still available pretty early on. About the time you step into Nightmare, actually, so definitely keep your hopes up for a unique Serpentskin Armor.

If you're willing to do some NM Mephisto runs (might be a good idea) you'll have a decent chance to get one on your own.

According to ATMA, normal quest Baal (1:714).

For non-quest drops, there's NM bugged Andy (1:1047) -well technically it's a quest drop too, but you can farm this one-, followed close by normal Baal (1:1079) and NM Meph (1:1156).

All of the probabilities are assuming 0% MF.

Cunning advice. For all other enemies, though, be sure to get hit as often as possible

Stealth is great early on for casters. A 3x or 4x Sapphire armor can be good too, since max mana/mana regen early on is usually your biggest concern. But yes, everything else is just a temporary measure till you can get Vipermagis, which are actually relatively common, though in high demand early after ladder reset.

He didn't mean that you should pay real money for it crazyeyes, but that it's easy to trade for in-game.
