Question! with a poll! best fire sorc build?

hi. i made a fire sorc a little while ago and didnt like it too much due to me dying in 1 hit to everything and not taking the breakpoints into account

well..ive decided to make another one and i was just wondering what everyone thinks about the best way to set up a fire sorc.

i seem to have forgotten to list the fcr of the sorc and if you could explain some details about ur decision in a post, that would be cool

Voted Pure Energy, 20 es, 20 tk. But I don't suggest pure energy, unless you're willing to go for 90%+ ES.

Make sure you get 200% fcr. The reason I choose this;

Block is impossible on a 200% fcr sorc by using legit items.

Precast high ES / big mana pool / 200% FB is probably the most pub friendly PvP sorc build atm. FB's damage can go high enough with good gear, which you'll need to make this work.

Just so he doesn't get confused, you should not rely on merc at all in PvP unless you are some funky enchant roguemerc tele sorc. and even if mercs were invincible, Insight wouldn't help that much because the point of big mana pool = more straight damage tankage. Mana pots are enough for mana recovery. Its just how many initial hits can you tank with your mana before it runs out and starts eating up your life.

and don't listen to pure vit fb sorc idea. This is why I don't like the polls, because people vote on something stupid and don't leave any reason why they chose so.

Yeah, with most builds you get to the same damage anyway with manashield or no manashield, and with it you take like x2-3 the damage, and can even regen back. Which you can't do with life, without pots. (I'd say for pure pvp it's better .. A lot better )

Voted pure energy/20es/20tk for reasons already given by Dennis_Koreanguy. If there's something annoying in duels, it would be a 200fcr/pure es sorc.

all pts in energy is a big no no.

Note that lvl 40 ES is required for 95% absorb ES. Even when maxed, it is hard to pull off +20 LIGHTNING skill bonuses out of all your gear/charms. Precast is required. And for ES less that 90%, don't go all energy, put some in vit.

hey guys i'm in the same boat. i'm currently making a 200 fcr fb sorc. i have no clue what skills to use though. she's lv 40 right now. i maxed fb and have 1 pt in es so far. the half vita/ half energy sounds good to me. any one know where to put skills and stat points? i honestly don't know what i'm doing with sorcs. lol. so any help or comments would be great. thanks guys.

If you got a bunch of +life sc's you can sure go all energy. The vita->life return is low, so other sources of +life is better if you ask me.
1000 after bo is fine, as long as you got loads of mana and heavy %abs on the es.
I'd say it is worth going down a bit in damage just to boost the es. The 200%fcr makes you deadly anyway.
Not quite as offensive, but at least safe.

One big joy of playing Diablo was finding items. If I would allow myself to "take the easy route" and buy things on the RMAH (or AH for that matter) then I would have destroyed one big joy of the Diablo game myself. So hopefully I'll never use the RMAH.

But then again... The game is probably balanced to players using the AH so in that case I'll ruin the game experience if choose not the ruin the game experience. Hm... tricky one. I should never have taken that class in philosophy.
