Question about unsocketing Zod rune

Heya,

Something occurred to me - what happens with the durability of an ethereal item when you Zod and unZod it?

Hypothetically, i use an item till it has 1 durability left. If i socket it with Zod, will the durability line disappear, or stay with the note that it's indestructible? I'm asking because if the durability line disappears, would it return to maximum when unsocketed or does it "remember" what the durability was before socketing?

Thanks in advance :)

Dizz

Allright, this explains why it isn't done. Thanks Krem

Re: Question about unsocketing Zod rune

It also works in single player as an Atma bug. People will sometimes socket eth weapons with a runeword that gives the indestructible mod, move the weapon to a new character, and unsocket the runeword. When doing that the indestructible mod remains but one can now put a new better runeword in. As mentioned though it was recently discovered that it was an Atma bug that left the indestructible mod on the item in question.

Re: Question about unsocketing Zod rune

can you unsocket the item in ATMA now?

if you unsocket it in the game, I don't see how the cube recipe would fail to remove the RW mods...
