PvP Barb poll: Sound off please!

Hey all,

I am trying to refine my barb a bit and wanted to get a feel for some of the competition. Please list your build, Ar/Def, dmg, life, and anything else you think is special about your barb.

For example:

WW BvBer

32k ar
30k def
4.2k ww
5.1k life
100% ow :thumbsup:

Or whatever.

P.S. Im specifically interested in the most life any engima bva tweakers have.
 
BvC all round

Just make a BvC , that can kill pretty much anything in GM and BM games.... Killing other melee,,,,, just use a lifetap charge wand...... you might struggle vs necros but everything else is pretty easy

(listing the most of each stat I can obtain)
AR: 29k
OW: 93%
CB: 15%
DS: 43%
dmg single wield: ~5k
dmg duel wield: ~6.3k + 3.7k
Life: 6.4k
Def: 21k

On average though, my vs all set up, my numbers are closer to:
25% OW
33% deadly
~4.2k ww or 5.8k+3.3k duel wield
5.8-6k life
10-12k AR
12-17k def

My barb is max block, max shout build, but more leaned toward bvc dueling (gear). No base strength either because I like to bvb occassionally and switching in duress severely limits my strength. Basically my build is vs all because I hate losing.

I sometimes switch between:
- Stone/Duress
- Angelic combo /highlords+raven/metalgrid+raven
-Tgod /15% verdungo
-Storm, anti-ele shield (4*topaz etc), fury BA dual wield
-BotD or Fury BA as main weapon (If I get my Beast, Fury will go :) )

Not too godly, but I can win vs most opponents in pubbies, and that's what I was aiming for :p

I am working on the rules.Atm-I am thinking about 10 rounds-in two parts.5 rounds are rigid 'metal test'.No dodging,no dod,no conc/zerk use,straight & simple whirl into each other till opponent falls & mana pots are allowed.This is pretty mutch a gear contest.

The second part is nerve/skill test-dodging allowed,dod allowed,but there is a limit on 'trigger ow & run' tactic- too much of it will result in voiding the duel.Conc/zerk use after dod allowed, mana pots are not allowed.

Any suggestions from other big boys from europe sans jordy? :uhhuh:

well i have a few :idea: :

1) i'm not underastimating anyones knowledge of the game and the class we all love(least of all yours, Raz :thumbsup: ) but could it be possible to post rules on barb forum and make them open for sugestions? by doing this league has a chance to draw a lot more people(IMHO), and stay a live for a while. it's too much to expect nice BvB duels a few times every week(end) (from this point where we are now) but hey, a man can dream! final decision should be made by those we all know and recognize as dedicated barb players, and lets be fair we all know who those are(i don't mean myself here so no flames!)
2) i think the main problem will be league organization meaning 'how to make different people meet when they are suppose to duel'! i have a few
sugestions when we face this problem.i would like this thing to last and repeat itself over and over and over again!!!!(i think we can easily agree on duel rules aka GM)

3)the best way how anyone can contibute to the league(IMHO) is to simply play the game,
come to forums and most important DUEL, DUEL, DUEL!!!!by doing this you draw other ppl
to the league, awake inactive barb lovers and keep the thing happening.for my part, i
play D2 every day, usualy evenings, so ill be around, and as soon as i make ma barb,
feel free to whisper for a fight!

Everyone willing to join the league will have to go through a formal routine of watching you duel & they'll understand :uhhuh:

I agree with kak,arriving at a common time choice is important.If hal allows opening a BVB thread here,then lets go ahead.

aah, it's intended for barb only, and (no one get offended by this, plz) i find barb forum to be much more friendly and GM so to speak, and i would like this to start here and if we make it happend we can 'advertise' aka seek-for-canon-meat elsewhere. ah *wishes, wishes*

edit: only jordy would come up with a post like this lol :thumbsup:
