It's fully doable untwinked, but you will end up using your javelins until you find a bow that does at least half decent damage. Harmony in an elite bow might be the only option that really is realistic to get on a single pass through the game, however to make that runeword you'll need RWM (runeword mod, check the single player forum). The javelin skills should be able to handle things even with crappy javelins, but you might want to gamble a few replenishing ones for convenience sake once you've gathered some gold.

For dual immunes you use magic/cold or possibly fire arrow. It's not much with your 1 point investment, but it does convert some of your physical damage into elemental. Of course you can also rely on the elemental damage on harmony if you use one.

Hi Kijya.

I would love to make this in Single Player, however I know I will be relying on Javelin for a while...

I hope to get Buriza or maybe Windforce. Watching you clear hell CS is really really good, my 2 favorite MF places are the pits and Chaos Sanctuary. I would love to get a zon that strong, who can clear CS with multishot lol haha.

So....I know you said Faith is best, but I hope Windforce is decent...I play SP and it is extremely hard to get these items.

Wouldn't say that faith is "hands down best" as such, depends highly on how you balance between your javelin and bow sides. Faith is the bow that can compensate for the most other slots being dedicated to javelin oriented gear if you're highly java focused ... but WF does fine on the more balanced or highly bow focused setups.

If you're planning to try it out on SP then be sure to play for the fun of it rather then aim to make a good area farmer right away. Just as you say, getting the bowside to work well, especially in higher playercounts, takes some rather good gear, so you'll be stuck with a much stronger javelin side for quite a while ... A harmony is really the only decent endgame bow you can assume you can get without problems.

Well, I am trying to use her she is level 57 now, act 3 NM.

I would love her to become balanced between her jav and bow skills.

Therefore I need to look for gears that give stats that boost her java AND bow skills right Kijya?


And as for skills, I have put 1 into each passive, all necessary bow skills and strafe, guided etc. And 20 in CS and LF. May I ask what you put your skills into? Perhaps since I love running CS I should put more into multishot? What else?

You may need a bit more in penetrate and pierce then the basic point, other then that you can focus on CS synergies. Depending on if you use razortail or not you wish to have either 100% or decent enough pierce, penetrate will be needed to maintain high chance to hit unless you make use of enchant, have a faith, and/or simply level really high (chance to hit partly depends on attacker level vs defender level aka clvl vs mlvl).

Level 10-15 multishot is nice to have for chaos runs or other open spaces, but unless you have a good bow you may wish to wait with leveling this until you do.

I assume the video in which you did CS run, you have a balance hybrid Gunslinger there, Kijya? You didnt make java too strong/ bowa too strong, you went the balanced way didnt you? It is personal preference right? But I would love to get a balance Gunslinger

after reading this i decide to change my build to hybrid/Gunslinger zon lolz

some questions though, since im leaning toward javazon build

1. putting 1 point in each bow skill is enough ????(i have +14all skill atm) or just need some more additional points??

2. Is 100ias enough for the build(with no faith)?? (im currently using andyface/15ias along with treachery)

3. Does Pul really worth it , for upgradding wws or just better swap to buriza/eagle?? (wat would b better choice)
- 3.1 if i decide for wws, is it better to put 2sheal on it instead of 1sheal1nef?? i think that knockback wont necessary too much

4. wat 4os bow should i look for my merc's Harmony?? (clv85 atm)

It's very hard to make both sides equally strong, however you can make both sides on a single amazon so strong that they handle lower playercount games without any problems. My amazon has a rather expensive gear setup so it's no wonder those points are reached on her. For this reason I can mostly use both sides in a balanced fashon when playing her on 1-3p games, but I have to admit that the javelin side is stronger, which is mostly noticable when in games with 4-8 players.

That said multishot has higher AoE and less moster resistance problems so that makes it easier to just spam, while the lightning skills are acctually more powerful. This equals me using both fairly equally even in higher playercounts just because I'm to lazy to always use the most effective approach. :whistling:

Yes, the bowskills do not really gain much for extra points other then extra arrows on multi and strafe, and as mentioned in the guide there's little point going all out on those. +14 is more then enough, so you can use the points saved in the other trees.

Depends on the bow you're using. Check the amazon tables for bow breakpoints (WSM of base bows included in a table there so you know which column to check). That said if you're using wws you may wish to focus on strafe as your primary bow attack, and that skill doesn't need much IAS at all so 100% would be more then enough for any bow.

Considdering how often puls drop in 1.13 there's no reason not to get an uppgraded wws. And if you do then focus on strafe and don't bother with shaels in your bow since they're not needed (strafe barely needs any IAS to be effective).

If you insist on using multi then I'd go with buriza. Which option is better actually depend on what areas you run and your preferance ...

Any elite (non amazon only) bow works as long as your merc has the dex to use it. Keep in mind that a act 1 merc isn't much of a killer compared to you so you don't really loose much DPS by giving her a subpar bow, see just needs something for a bit of leeching to fill her up after taking some stray shots.

Yup, at least in SP where they can run him endlessly very fast. To be honest I'd discurage you for running a specific target just to get one on the realms, just run whatever targets you enjoy and keep an eye open on the trade forums. You're far more likely to find something you can trade for one then actually finding a WF yourself.

well after all, WWS did really bad on me ........ the damage was so smalllll, it really took me so long to kill those LIs group (300 dex isnt enough for this bow??)
Things get worst when playin in 2 or 3 players game. Those LIs not only Imune to lighting but also Imune to my WWS lolz.
Then i gave up on WWS and dicided to jab them 1by1 :funnyabove:

Srsly, I have no idea why ppl like this little bow so much, i just dont see any good on it yet (except for those +40 all resist ;p)


ps. im playing on private realm and not much people here.
Any way just wanna know wat WF worth??

WWS sux. Try Buriza, or 'Harmony' in a Grand Matron bow. Ultimately you'd want to get windforce, ofcourse.

Buriza, has Ok damage but some how it fired too slow to handle those Lis in hell + no AR mod which I really need on my highly focus java's build.

Gues not much option left here.... Is it better to sacrifice some of my lighting synergy and put those points to boost AR instead?

wws is a cheap option that works if you build around it, but it's indeed not something I'd want to use in games with a higher playercount.

Getting more AR by upping penetrate would probably be needed when on a lower budget unless you utilize enchant (either from lava gout gloves or demon limb charges). Just check your chance to hit to see if you need to get more AR, but remember that it also depends on your character level vs monster level so once you're done you may not need as much as you did when leveling.

MB vs GMB is more of a PVP question, where mobility is a much larger factor and each frame counts towards escaping your oponent or interupting their actions. For PvM you can stick with GMB without any worries as the damage compensates for the lower speed even if you have to settle for 8fpa instead of 7fpa.
