Prebuffing Holy Shield for Zeal PVP

A lot of the zealot guides show prebuffing HS with a rose branded scepter and HOZ on weapon switch is enough.
My understanding is the more +skills you use to prebuff HS, the less dexterity you will require to achieve max block.

So a question to all the pvp zealots, are the extra benefits from the prebuff not significant enough to go to the effort of putting on +skill items prior to duelling?

And if you do a full prebuff of HS, what do you use?

The thing with prebuffing HS is that if you've maxed it the benefits in block % for extra skill points are very low, it's generally made for the added defense so it's not as useful as to bother doing a full prebuff in my opinion.

agreeing with ragnarod but, if you found 5 sox scepter with +3 HS it would be icing topping on cake.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I've decided to put enough points in dexterity to get me to max block with just CTA and HoZ on switch. And if I can be bothered add +skill items purely to increase defense.

I think putting as little dexterity as possible is ideal, but seems much more convenient to switch, cast HS, and play without the need to change my entire gear.

There's another option for shield with cta, one is hoz and one is spirit. HOZ adds extra skill for holy shield and such but spirit increases battle order level which increases your maximum life.

Life and skill, it is your choice.

I wasnt aware the +skills from spirit could increase levels of a level 6 BO on CTA. That actually seems to be a better option, thanks.
