Post your most lucky Trades

A fun thread where you can share your most, OMG I CANT BELIEVE HE IS OFFERING ME THIS situations.


Ill start myself.


I found a Harlecien crest (aka shako) and was offering it in a pub trade game, some guy says he really wants it, but shows me low crappy rare's and a pair of change guards.
I went NN, but he said i have more please come to xxx/xxx.

So i went, a bit reluctant, thinking he was just gonne show me more crap.

However he offerd a Bul khatos! ring for the shako, wich a later traded for a nice fat Soj.

I felt a bit guilty, but i got ripped off so hard, so many times myself, that i put aside my guilt and am still enyoing the +1 from my SOJ :jig:

Non ladder a few months ago. I went into a game called "Brg tal rune" or something. Dude needed a Tal. I was gonna give it free, but he said "take this crappy poison faceet, I can't even give it away!" I said OK, and not 10 minutes later, joined a game called "brg all facets." A guy was offering 2 hr for any and all facets. I got Jah and Ber. So from one Tal rune to Enigma in 10 minutes.

Two things come into my mind: Found a 4 soc monarch, and made spirit. It was too low to keep, so I entered the first game that said need spirirt offer items. There were some crappy items, and a gc 14 allres 33 life.

the other wasnt exactly a trade. it was quite late and I joined the trade channel on bnet. A guy offered ohm for socketing his homonculus. I did it, quickly self muled the ohm, and since I didn't want to risk poofing I quickly made cta (fortunately I had everything else for that) It turned out to be 4/5/1 which is very nice for only a socket and 1,5 ist:)

A couple weeks ago in West SCL I sold a ~31% spirit monarch for a ber. The person I sold it to knew he was overpaying.

few days ago i bought 3 all res charms for um plus some low rune (dol?, io?, shael?, dont remember). charms was 8@res LC, 4@res/2dex SC, 5@res SC

i think i traded something like a shako or so for an infinity on nonladder. that was the only infinity i have ever had and that i was expecting to ever have XD.

I once was going to trade an Enigma for an EBOTD Zerker and some other stuff, but I didnt' have enough room, so I cleared my inventory, came back, showed him a random cracked light plate, pressed "accept" for the fun of it, and I scammed him good.

its often easier when you have the right attitude to come by items, for example doing mf runs not really thinking about it, getting key drops from countess and summoner i over pay keys for things like Pviperskin to up, i ended upgiving the item away to a friend later on after getting enigma, that in it self was a rather lucky sort of events all very enjoyable.

More often than not its easier to give something up that your not using, and end up over paying just to avoid a transaction that is not smooth, after all you trying to get something fast and get on with the game not mull over the fact that aww i dont have this item or man im not good enough, check the forums, read the post, see what others have done, use your brain while playing.

I've been traded hrs for simple times, its really about timing, also I've traded hrs for things that are seeming less consequential. About your monarch or Pala shield it was either High def, or had nice res stats and he knew he could re roll and acquire an item of equal value.

LOL! My most lucky trade was an enigma 15&ed 775 dusk shroud for 2 smal charms 20 life 5 all res and a bug belt umperm wich i later sold for massive 3/20/20

About six months ago I managed this (on non-ladder, so don't be surprised by the high numbers of high runes):

2 hrs -> cta +3 bo -> two poison and bone skillers with 14 life each -> 12 hrs

plain curses GC for Ist :)

Game name was 'Ist for curses GC'. I had thought it was a joke.

a guy came up to me in a trade game, and I clicked ok.
then he puts a Zod and clicks the check, so I hurridly clicked the check as well and got a free Zod. been about a week and it is still in my stash.

I have seen a SoH go for a Jah, only one of them. Wasn't my trade, but it sure was hilarious - the guy shouted "Need standart of heroes O jah fast".
