Tyrael
After finding Tyrael's a few years back I wanted to use it rather than letting it gather virtual dust. I have done a number of zealots in the past but only one avenger, very early in my playing career. I looked at the available runewords and Destruction seemed like an interesting choice. It took a while to get the runes together though and many other runewords kept seeming more interesting. Eventually I assembled it at the end of last year, so presenting

Tyreal is is based on Asmodeous' Justiciar, providing Fanaticism himself and getting Might and Conviction from the Mercenary. I don't think an explanation of his name is needed this time..

Gameplay
All the classes have defensive skills. Barbarians have War Cry, Sorcs have Armours and of course Teleport. Bear Druids have shockwave and so on. As I played this character through, I thought about what a paladin has. Defensive auras maybe, but that won't help kill stuff. Holy Freeze is pretty good. But really I think the basis of paladin defense is high block with holy shield. They are not clever fighters. If you need someone to charge the enemy heavy hitters without questioning if it is a good idea, you are going to want to call up the paladin.
So when you create a build that removes the cornerstone of a paladin's defense (i.e. the shield) you can expect trouble. Delirium helped, but holy freeze and Reaper's is probably more reliable. So the character was a bit of a glass cannon, especially after a heavy stat investment for the Colossus Blade. I died more than a few times, but mostly managed a naked body retrieval. Of course I have edited them out of the video so I look like a much better player.
So what about Tyrael's? Is it any good? For this build it was not a bad choice, despite the ridiculous level requirement. The -100% stats didn't help much when I needed to invest anyway for the sword. Swapping Tyrael's, one BKWB and Mara's for CoH, Ravenfrost and Highlords would have given better resists, stats and IAS. Slain Monsters Rest in Peace was OK, but I could have used Redemption too. Tyrael's was an OK choice, but they should have given it +2 skills too.
Volcano went off all the time but didn't do much other than look cool. Knockback from Molten Boulder was useful. Altogether though it was good to use the items on what was quite a fun glass cannon.
