Wow, they fixed the Fangskin drop bug! I didn't expect that, although it was probably easy to achieve that.

Why are you so happy about that?

It's totally irrelevant. I don't even know where that dude is.

And it's good that it's easy to achieve. I can however think of other things just as easy that would be more interesting.

I'm not happy, just surprised. We have that bug since 1.10 (or even 1.09?), even though it's so easy to fix the drop tables.

Seems the patch was re-released to PTR a few days ago (http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=23393069953&sid=3000). The extra changes that jump out at me in this one are:

- Fixed an issue where some players could kill other players while in town
("TPPK").
- Fixed an issue where some players could disconnect other players when
they had too many active states.

- Fangskin should now properly drop loot in Hell difficulty.
- Fixed an issue where the Paladin class runeword 'Principle' wasn't
having all of its stats applied properly.

- Combo points awarded by combo moves now last 15 seconds, up from 9.

Still waiting for the reset though ideally, but good to see Blizzard is still doing something :whistling:


And they've improved rune drops one more time. Surs/Bers/Jahs/Chams are dropping left and right in SPF. :P Seems like rune duping will be much less profitable now.

HOLY COW!!! Runes are plausible drops now!? No more rune dupes?! I can actually craft gear now without duped items?!

That's amazing news! I can't wait to craft runewords that I have actually found on my own :cloud9:

Hmmm. This, combined with Orphan's news that 1.13b claims to have fixed tppk is making me want to start playing again, and maybe give Hardcore a serious try. No tppk and self-found runewords is pretty appealing.

I wonder how many more quick wins blizzard can achieve then? I mean 90% of the bugs/major flaws in the game are quick wins. Of course one not being dupes. That is not a bug.

AWWWWW!!! You got me blizzard! And all this time I thought you guys cared a at least a little about your beloved franchise and not money!

And all this time I really thought you cared... I knew upped HR rates were too good to be true :scratchchin:


But seriously if they pulled something like that I vow to never even look at another blizzard title....ever.

We don't think we've hit every issue obviously, there are still quite a few, as well as feature requests, etc. that we hope to address in future patches.

But, 1.13b won't be the final version of this patch. Work is already in progress and near completion on a 1.13c that addresses a few additional issues. This new version will require new patches to be generated and tested, but it won't be making its way to the PTR as we don't feel the changes warrant it.

We plan to give a one week warning before a Diablo II ladder reset, which will coincide with the release of 1.13. You're not likely to hear any updates on release schedule before that one week warning.[/BLUE]

More inane / useless skills being insufficiently changed :unimpressed:

Add / activate several runewords that are in the game files but not used?

Add new items/ suffix's prefix's? (In the beta I've seen "yadda yadda circlet of the Elephant" which I have never seen before...

Increase overall health of players to balance out the game? (Always found it funny most char's can pump out +100k damage in a moment but have less than 5k health. ) Or possibly re-implement pre-1.10 to provide more variation in gear?

I can't really think of any other changes that wouldn't require beta testing?

I need to stop speculating over nothing.

Not changing anything doesn't need a beta test.

Just pointing out the obvious.


P.S. I think they will implement some things they don't want to spoil. At this moment, we haven't seen all that much new things. They could implement more/different modifiers, uniques, sets etc. And if they are a bit smart, they can do this without ruing the game all to much.

The elephant suffix is there before 1.13 already.
