ownage[ld] steals an anni...

Just thought everyone should know, I asked for help here and in op xbananax for some assistance with dclone, and *ownage[hc] a lvl 80 pally, came in and took the anni...not very banana like...

it amazes me what people will do for virtual items...

Someday, I will have an anni...

For one, as stated several times by various people, just because they are in the banana channel does not mean they are trustworthy. Rekoc had initiated lockdown to keep out these untrustworthy individuals, but the bot has been down for a couple of days, so they were allowed to wander in.

For two, you never said if you met him in the banana channel, or if he just randomly messaged you after seeing your post.

Three, if he wasn't a regular on the forum here (and confirmed it with a forum PM), why would you trust a stranger like that anyway?

Sorry for your loss...

locked myself out of my old one... I did ask zappa back for the keys, but he has to ask Rush, and Rush will most likely take his time for it.

^_^

I knew I was taking a chance...but I had no shot at him with my lvl 80 trapsin(Untwinkled)...2.5k trap dmg wasnt even putting a dent in him. Also, it was my first time EVER seeing dclone, so, I was a bit nervous. After thinking about it, I had goblin toes and crushflange on a pally, but he is only in norm and I would have had to create a norm game and mule that stuff over while chancing that the game stayed open. As a final kicker to the story, one of the regulars that I know came on right after he left with the charm in the banana channel, and said he would have gotten the charm for me.

He was in the banana channel after taking the charm(And boasting about it), so, I assume that is where he saw me ask for help.

Thanks for the replies Relativity, next time I will do the differently...

Damn that sucks. Glad you told the account name. There are a few new scrublets in the banana channel that dont belong... Sorry for your loss:/

Rel WHERE YOU BEEN?!?! you remember me right? :(

Ya as for th bot not being up. Bnet really messed up it for chan bots a while back and you have to go threw different servers...and they wont let anyone but wc3 up I think. Its all really confusing.

Sorry for your loss.

From a combination of experience and assumption, I guess that the people who you see frequently in xbananax are trustworthy. At first, I had no idea who to trust to help me xfer, but after being there for a month or so, I would trust people that I recognized, even if I hadn't played with them. So far it has worked, and I suggest you try the same thing (whether it's for xfering, helping with bosses, or whatever.)

The bad eggs probably don't stick around for long, or are changing accounts.

So would a WC3 key help you?

I concur! When I was running it not too long ago I swear the hoops you had to jump through to successfully logon changed daily. Everyone should make a mental note to thank Spade when they get a chance.

Just a question, guys. Are we allowed to talk about non-game interfering, chat/channel operator bots here?

I wouldnt see why not. Its not hacks/warez/ or cheats. All it is is channel protection.

I think I saw this guy in the channel just today . Thats a prety low class move there and he should be banned IMO ....

:sad2:

Agreed. I tried to ban him when the bot was down, but it turns out he needs to be logged on for me to ban him or something. Oh well... now that the bot's back up, there should be less of that.

Well, there should be NONE of it. -.-
