OT: The Daily Thread

RL: Ready for an extended weekend. Building a better solution this weekend to get water to my goats. Finishing up my gym mats for my home gym

D2: Will finally create my first ever SP SC Pat/Mat tonight! This in large part due to @Gynli for the generous gift of Tal's Armor and a monarch. Also traded with him and got a new base for my merc's insight and he provided a much better Treachery and a +1 Fire GC :) Hopefully get to ~lvl85 this weekend and start MF'ing!

OVG: I don't know what this means lol

@Yng Sleep? That's indeed something that people do, but only when they don't have small kids ;). Boy do I remember those sleepless days when our second son was just born, and then again with the third one. They both were horribly bad sleepers in their first year. Glad that I'm having discussions about puberty related stuff now instead with the oldest. Not sure if I'll still say the same thing in a few years time though ...

RL: New Tool album came out today. Listening to it for the first time now. It already sounds incredibly good, and usually their albums take quite some time to sink in, so it's safe to say it's a stunning album.

Other than that ... way too busy. Social engagement is nice and all, but I should learn to say no from time to time. Currently things are getting a bit over my head at times because I can't. Most of it gives me a lot satisfaction though.

D2: on a break. Still following some topics on the forums here though. Impossible not to ;). It still feels weird not to read every single post in the SPF though. But that has nothing to do with my D2 break. I just don't have the time currently.

OVG: Grim Dawn, still having a lot of fun. Haven't had that much time to play, so I only have 1 character in normal, currently at level 43 nearing the end of the vanilla game. I also plan to finally start those MP runs with a RL friend of mine. Hopefully this evening.

@Yng Well all I can say from my own experience is that going from 1 to 2 wasn't much of a change but going from 2 to 3 brought life to a grinding halt. I think that while the number of children increases linearly, the amount of chaos increases exponentially. It definitely had a lot to do with how easy our middle child is and how, eh, incredibly difficult #3 has been, but still, stopping after 2 may very well be the smarter option!

Just don't let a calm second lull you into a false sense of, "Hey, this isn't so bad. How much worse could a third be??" Been there, done that.

Finally getting some wall art to put up behind my setup.

My two favorite PC titles, original box art minus the watermarks of course. They are 16x24 inch:

Most recent pic, it’s ever-changing. I have a headphone hook coming with the posters:

Will share a pic when I have everything up and framed.

So I've Been drinking a little. Well, a lot.
1) I think I should pay a local artist to make a black and white poster for my office of one of my chars. Thanks @Yng for the inspiration. Might be wzpwnsife and I might change my mind tomorrow
2) I think here in a minute I'm gonna do some MF runs

I've been playing this game since it came out. I was like 13. And I when I found a unique Fury Helm the other night I was like wtf is that? Hahaha. Such a great game. I'm so glad I came back to these forums and this wonderful game.

Is this the right subforim for drunk posts? Hope so!

Better to post drunk than to play drunk, especially if playing HC. Unless you start to say silly things.

@jonnyphive As a father of 3 boys I can say that 3 is indeed far more work than having 2 kids. However I still don't regret the decision to have 3 kids. I actually wanted 4, and still regret that we haven't gone through with that plan every now and then. But #2 and #3 were terrible sleepers, and we didn't think we could cope with more sleepless nights.

It was very hard at times when they were very young. Now that they are older (9, 11 and 13) it's mostly fun in my opinion. Still busy of course. But never silent or dull. They bring life and activity into the house. There are periods in which they are discussing, arguing and to a certain extent fighting all the time, which drives us crazy. But overall it's really nice. Maybe I'm writing this because we're currently in a period where they come along very well though :).

RL: Holidays are over, I’m back at work and I have a cold. Great.

D2: Shopping 1.07 Armour and hoping Larzuk punches 4os. We are going to have a falling out soon after a selection of 1-3 holes.

OVG: Not at the moment.

RL: New Tool album came out today. Listening to it for the first time now. It already sounds incredibly good, and usually their albums take quite some time to sink in, so it's safe to say it's a stunning album.
I bought it last night (old skool, I know.) Looking forward to giving it a proper listen.

RL: Got a cold too...behind on the yardwork so going to take a crack at that this afternoon (beautiful weather here today so took the afternoon off). Spent some time making an interactive word search on my site:https://mindescapes.net/word-search-back-to-school-2019/
If you get a chance to try it out, any feedback would be great as I have only been able to test it on my pc, my particular phone, and tablet.

D2: Doing a few countess runs for Ists and Guls here and there. Started my poison necro, Ooze, who is 21 and farming Arcane for xp. Poison explosion works well there.

OVG: None right now unless you count mini games I am working on for my site.

@T72on1 Agreed; I'm enjoying having 3 despite the chaos and we're currently in the "deciding" process about whether to dare for #4 or not. With our oldest, almost 5, we're already starting to see hints of what will eventually be possible with regard to the kids being better able to care for themselves, so my hope is that we're already over the hump with how much work is needed just to keep them fed, rested, and cleaned.

@maxicek Definitely old school, yes :). You won't regret it, the album is fantastic. I would probably have preferred it to be a little heavier, but it's incredible how beautifully layered the songs all are. Very intense stuff.

RL: Steady stream of work and social engagements. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Well we do have 3 weddings to go to in 3 weekends starting next weekend. But at least they're all in town. Also bought a new tv over the weekend. Upgrading from an old old 32" to a new 55" and it feels like a theater screen :) Also, I know none of tool's music, but I'll have to give this album a listen after all this hype I see here :D

D2: Not playing quite as much at the moment, which is probably a good thing, but the drive to progress my characters is down a bit. Questing an amazon who's in nightmare and finally am starting to get back to doing chaos runs with my 99er sorc.

OVG: Played a ton of super metroid randomizer over the weekend with a buddy. Super metroid is my favorite super nintendo game, and perhaps my favorite video game before starting d2 ;) This randomizer is where fans made a hack that randomizes the usually constant item locations. Really fun way to replay the game.
